Very fresh marzipan from a well know brand
As a child, I remember having boxes of German candies sent to us from relatives in Germany and this brand of marzipan covered in chocolate was one of the things we'd receive every Christmas and my father and I always loved it. I wasn't sure how fresh it would be ordering it from amazon, to be honest. However, I was more than pleased and my father was in awe and he's a tough critic when it comes to chocolate covered marzipan. If you aren't familiar with marzipan, it's an almond paste that is very condensed and concentrated. It is sweet with a liquor flavor and covered in a thin layer of dark chocolate. It has a very distinct taste. It's not creamy but it is strong and sweet. It's not for everyone but for those who it IS for, love it! I've bought one other marzipan on amazon that I was disappointed in but this one exceeded my expectations as it was as fresh as when it came to me directly from Germany.
