Worked great on my old galvanized chimney chase cap
My 30+ year old galvanized chimney chase cap was rusting out. I had it replaced with a stainless steel cap. The chimney contractor told me disposal of the old cap was my responsibility. The town where I live wanted me to make a special appointment to pick up the intact chimney chase cap and pay a $25 pick up fee so I did some research. The town where I live says it’s OK to put anything non-toxic that fits in their trash bin.I used this diamond wheel to chop up the galvanized metal cap so it would fit in my trash bin. Once I got the wheel started, it cut the 16 gauge galvanized sheet steel almost as fast as I could move the angle grinder. It took me 15 minutes to cut the old cap into pieces. This Diamond wheel is far superior to the vitrified cutoff wheels that are a mess and degrade quickly. The rapidly decreasing diameter of the vitrified wheels also make them cut slower. So I played by the town and waste law rules, didn’t violate any environmental laws and got rid of the cap thanks to this Diamond cutoff wheel. As you can see, I made it fit in the trash can.Hope that helps!

An answered prayer, it stays sharp and cuts accurately without getting smaller with each cut.
Fantastic!!! It fits well and stays sharp. It cuts tiles, thin metal, and plastic without any issues. I would buy this product again and recommend it to others.

Industrial Setting Usage here
Using it, I am, as recommended (letting it cool off per schedule) is working well for me. From hot rolled metal to rebar to chrome vanadium I have had no problem in the way it handles cutting the metal I have used it to cut. The only issues: a) fitting it over the spindle; it came to me not as a slip fit but a press fit. I found this and still do find this aggravating for the extra delicate installation that is needed to fit it over and onto the spindle; b) once the label material wears off the disc is too thin to be held by the flange nut to keep it from spinning. I used some shim material to make a washer but at the price I paid this should not be happening.

Great quality and speed
This has been one of my best purchases. Cuts right through what my abrasive disk would not.

so far I love it!!
First it cuts clean I don't get filthy with the dust and debris like with the normal cutting discs. Second so far it has cut every type of steel I've tried it on. Third it doesn't break into little pieces throwing shrapnel at me which often hurt like hell. So far the only downside is that it cuts quite a bit slower than the composite discs. if it lasts a decent amount of cuts I'll definitely be buying another. haven't had and used it long enough to know durability and longevity I'll update later as I use this near every day on the clock. So far I'm very happy and impressed with it.Update #1 Jan 26 2023 it still works like it did when new and I'm probably at around 350+ cuts, very happy with this!!

Incredible
I’m skeptical as always when buying stuff and never expect good quality. But I am genuinely amazed at how well this cut off wheel performed. I was able to complete the exhaust on two vehicles which included cutting multiple pieces of exhaust tube and metal of various sizes. And it appears I could still do many more if I needed. Held up well for the job.

Cuts less than half speed but without sparks, dust and stink.
I just cut some 3x3 by 1/4 inch angle iron, and I did a comparison between this and some Pretec abrasive cutting wheels. I was very pleased on the first cut with this diamond blade, but with each cut it slowed significantly. By the third cut, I estimated that it took 3 times as long as the thin kerf Pretec discs. That was really discouraging, as otherwise I love the lack of stink, dust, and sparks. The Pretec standard abrasive discs would only last for 2 cuts each.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6CY2DPJ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1But I can get quite a stack for the price of one of these, and I was not able to stand the cutting speed of these after just 3 cuts. On each cut, they got slower. On in-shop smaller jobs or thinner stock, the lack of dust, stink and sparks may make me consider it. For outdoor work on heavier stock I'll stick to the Pretec abrasive disks.
