Practical Paddle Strop for Everyday Knife Maintenance
I’ve been using the BeaverCraft Leather Strop for Knife Sharpening, and it is a practical and effective tool for maintaining sharp edges on my knives. The paddle design is comfortable to handle and allows for consistent stropping, making it a good value for the price. My only minor observation is that the leather is relatively thin (2–3oz). In my experience, 5–6oz leather provides a slightly better feel and more consistent results when stropping. Despite that, this strop is well-suited for everyday maintenance, and it performs reliably for keeping edges polished and razor-sharp.

Quality control could be a bit better
It arrived completed and undamaged in a box. The hardwood handle is nicely finished and the leather looks good. There is what appears to be glue in one spot on the leather (shows in photo). Hopefully this doesn't affect stropping.

Great for refining the edge.
It’s fun to practice honing skills on. I recommend buying it with different colored abrasives, so that you truly get different grades on both sides of this strop. Minor gripe: the hanging hole could be bigger (I drilled it out, so that it could hang from a screw head.) Anyway it’s beautifully made.

Ditch the wax and go with diamond paste and this will last a long long time. Easy to use ; Has plenty of room and it's nice to have two different textured leather strips on one strop.

Absolutely recommend this high quality product to finalize the sharpening of your beloved knife. The paste you will apply is a polishing compound causing metal to mirror shine after minutes of work, even the kitchen knife from local stores can be razor sharp due to the green paste, or “GOI polishing paste”, which on leather surface will do the magic. Before you understand how it works just google or watch videos. This tool is for finishing, you need grinding stone to do the main job. Enjoy your sharpening
