McDavidElastic Ankle Brace

The McDavid ankle brace is lightweight and great protection for my ankles. I like how it is tight around my ankles but still allows for movement. It does not feel cumbersome.

More comfortable than neoprene ankle sleeves in my opinion. Good compression and relatively durable. Ive been using the McDavid brand for years.

Overall, I like this brace. It provides enough support for what I need. I badly sprained my ankle/foot over a month ago, and it still hurts and will give out/roll on me. So I just need something to hug my ankle and encourage it to stay straight.Urgent Care gave me one of these, in a size MEDIUM, but it cuts off my circulation as if it's a kid's size. In fact, my kid (who is tiny) wanted to wear it (loose joints), but it was too small for her (cut off her circulation)!!So I bought this one in an XL. I wear a lady's size 10/11 shoe, and my feet/ankle are pretty slender (if I do say so). The XL fits me well and doesn't cut off my circulation; it is supportive (keeps my ankle straight without me having to think about it); and I forget it's on. I do find the heel cut-out to be very annoying (it sort of cuts off the circulation of my heel), so I don't quite pull this "sock" all the way on, and instead allow the heel hole to sit under my heel (instead of around it), and that is much more comfortable.I almost wonder if a LARGE would fit (it would be nice to have a tad bit firmer support), but I bet it would be tight enough to bug me.So... 4 stars... yeah. If you have slender feet/ankles, then this should work for you. But if you have larger feet/ankles (in diameter), then I think you'll be disappointed because this will cut off your circulation.Since the sizing wasn't listed when I was looking to buy this online, here's what the box says (but in reality, these guidelines are WAY OFF):Small: Men's shoe size 6-9, Women's 7-10Medium: Men's 9-11, Women's 10-12Large: Men's 11-13, Women's 12-14XL: Men's 14-15, Women's 15-16

Works fine for me, worth a try if you have ankle problems

They are great! They offer me comfort and protection. Very comfortable to wear underneath socks. Can't play sports without them.

I broke my knee cap three months ago and had to keep my leg in a long brace for over two months. I wore crutches pretty much the whole time and placed little or no weight on my injured leg.I think my lower leg simply forgot how to walk. Maybe it thought it had earned its retirement, and was going to hang and swing like a hammock for the rest of its life. All I know for sure, is that when the big brace finally came off, my lower leg was not a happy camper. It sent me all sorts of disquieting sensations, especially in the area of my ankle and foot.One would think it had been a lower leg injury rather than a knee fracture! The knee cap kept saying "Let's go," while the ankle and foot had a tantrum. This tantrum would come unexpectedly, usually after I'd been walking for 10 or 15 minutes. I felt like one of those poor desperate mothers...you know, the ones we come across in shopping malls -- horrified that their little angel has suddenly changed into a monster whose cries can be heard all the way across the department store and up two sets of escalators.Enter McDavid 511 Elastic Ankle Brace. Now the tantrum is more of a muffled and pathetic whimper, and it starts after I've been on my feet for well over three hours.

Exactitud ala medida

No support. This could possibly be a compression sock, at best. I was not happy. Material is loose. Size is not the issue. Weird placement seem to cause discomfort rubbing around the heel and wasn’t getting support. I will try to return. Well made. However this isn’t a supporter in my book.

Me ha sorprendido muy negativamente esta tobillera porque tengo varios artículos de esta marca y siempre eran de 10.En esta tobillera el dobladillo se clava en el pie y es muy incómodo o casi imposible de llevar, por lo menos para lo que es correr. Quizás para practicar otro deporte sea una tobillera válida pero para correr es imposible porque según vas pisando va doliendo más (con calcetines de running es imposible).

Ayant une cheville un peu fragile (ligaments endommagés) : cette chevillère est parfaite. Facile à porter : s'enfile comme une chaussette. Facile à laver (personnellement je la passe en machine et elle se déforme pas). J'ai sa jumelle depuis plus d'un an, et elle tient le coup. J'en ai racheté une justement quand l'autre est en cours de séchage suite au lavage...
