Great fit, restored the leak free operation of my beautiful pressure cooker!
Thank goodness I found the name and model number if my beautiful and now functional pressure cooker on its bottom. It allowed me to get the exact replacement gasket which works VERY well, does not leak, and allows for flawless operation. Just one more indication that one gets what one pays for, and there is no substitute for quality and materials of construction. The stainless steel of the pan sized pressure cooker is perfect for making that incredible stew for two to four people in a few minutes vs hours. It is a great energy saver, and produces food that is pure, perfectly cooked, and in a fraction of the time it takes if one utilizes a big stainless steel pot at atmospheric pressure vs 2 atmosphers pressure.

Still fine after 9 years
Purchased as a replacement for our Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker in 2013 and it is still fine to use.

Great Product
This pressure cooker is amazing! I saw a nick in my gasket and ordered a replacement. It came fairly quickly and fit perfectly. Great company, great product!

silicone rubber is the solution
I have 2 of the Kuhn Rikon saute pan-pressure cookers. (Bought them at a cook store's going-out-of-business sale). I also have a larger KR pressure cooker bought later. The saute cookers came with the older black ?neoprene gaskets, while the large cooker came with the new hi temp silicone rubber gaskets.I use the smaller cookers several times a week. The black gaskets wore out in about two years. As an experiment, I replaced one with the black #1542 gasket and one with the newer blue silicone rubber #1502 gasket. The black gasket wore out again in about 2 years of frequent but not daily use, while the silicone rubber one is still going strong. I have cleaned them both carefully, and stored them out of the lids. I have never used oil on them. The black ?neoprene seems to have become somewhat stiffer over time (?heat embrittlement), which perhaps lead to its 'wearing out' and failure to seal properly in use. It shows no signs of physical wear.I don't know why Kuhn Rikon bother selling the old style gasket. I can't think of any reason to use it. The new one fits my 24cm saute-cooker lid (although it needs a bit more manipulation since it is more flexible) and should last a much longer time.BTW -- I once replaced the natural rubber gasket in a Bialetti stove top espresso maker with a "high temperature food service grade silicone rubber" gasket (made for me at a marine gasket shop in Seattle) and that completely solved the 'burned gasket' problem for the espresso maker, even when foolishly left to overheat until boiled empty. So if you don't want to spend more on gaskets than you have invested in the cookers, hi temp silicone rubber rules!

It fits
I bought this for a Cuisinart pressure cooker. Cuisinart, in their infinite wisdom, did not continue manufacturing gaskets for their pressure cookers after they changed the design. Kuhn Rikon bailed me out. I was going to have to give up on the Cuis pressure cooker until I found this.

The only place that carries this product
My pressure cooker was bought in 1985 and my usual source for replacing the seal went out of business. I am so glad to find the needed seal. Thank you again!
