This set a replacement for my last set that got so old the rubbery texture started feeling sticky after over a decade. It's still one of my favorite pens. The long tail gives it a unique flair that is really a pleasure. The rubbery texture is hard to beat. I put the two extra grip sections on my other Lamy Al-Star pens for a better grip. Nibs swap too, so you can put an italic nib on another everyday use, non-calligraphy Al-Star or Safari. your hand writing will instantly look better! Great value, performance, and looks. Lamy tests each pen before sending them out, which is great, so you will see some blue ink residue on each nib - that does not mean they were used and returned (I looked it up). Enjoy!

Great set for calligraphy. I modified the 1.1 into a italics nib. It is definitely my favorite. I use it much more than just for calligraphy. I am considering carrying it as one of my main pens because I love how it lays the ink down.

I was worried at the beginning because the pen had been clearly used (ink stains in the tip of the fountain pen). But I viewed a video on Lamy's website, where all pens are tested before being sold. That eased my worries. The finer tip is scratchy, not a deal breaker as the wider tips are nice to write with. I use it with Noodler's ink and it's great for my purposes. Would recommend it! Came in a nice tin (metal?) box. Small scratch on the clip part of the cap, decided to keep it.

A beautiful pen to write with. Very comfortable to hold and well-balanced. The refills are easy to install with no mess. I love that you can match the color of your pen to the ink you are using. Black to black, Red to red, and Blue to blue. I am very pleased with my Lamy Fountain Pens. Less

Wow these pens are AMAZING!!! I use the pilot parallel but these flow a bit better. I use these pens to draw and I love them. They can be a bit scratchy but it's ok. It feels like a c-4 nib.

Me encantó esta pluma, aunque tengo plumas de otras marcas Parker, inoxcrom, Lamy nunca falla, y esta pluma no es la excepción, muy buena fluidez de la tinta a través del plumin. Ideal no solo para principiantes sino también para avanzados.

I really like this pen set; it works great and I think it’s wonderful for what it is. The product itself is not the issue. I bought this item under the assumption that it was new. It very clearly was not. Everything inside the box was dusty when I first opened it and the “main” nib was covered with dry ink. It took a solid 10 minutes of cleaning to get all the dried ink out of the pen. The set comes with a box of Lamy cartridges. The box I got was labeled black however the cartridges were actually blue. Oh and I thought I was buying the white capped version but the pen I got was black and red (not really a problem; I actually preferred this version but it was more expensive.) Oh and the tin was all beaten up and had several dents. I’m not sure if this happened in the mail as there was virtually no protection in the box or if it’s from the first owner.

This set is plastic (except for the nib) and therefore (in my opinion) overpriced. The pens write well. They do not come with converters. There is one handle, but two plastic snap on covers to allow the unmounted tips to retain their ink cartridge without leaking or drying out. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't buy these. I think for the price a better pen holder is deserved.

Le coffret de 3 plumes est au top, qualité concours, le produit me parait garantie à vie. Moi m^m j'utilise des plumes de 1.5 depuis la nuit des temps, l'ergonomie ici frôle 20/20 L'écriture est immédiatement douce, précise aucune coulure... là, on est dans la cour des grands 20/20 C'est un porte-plumes magique à cartouches, voir intelligent, pour des enfants qui le seraient tout autant ! This pen has a different charm from dip pen. It also has the advantage of being an dip pen that does not require ink bottles. Converters are not included, but if you are a Lami user, nibs, converters, and cartridges are all compatible. I think this is the advantage of Lami. I really enjoy 1.5 nibs in this package.
