Bodyprox Protective Padded Shorts for Snowboard,Skate and Ski,3D Protection for Hip,Butt and Tailbone

After an accident on his cycle last year, and ending with a broken femur, my husband needed some padding, to protect the area, but also to give him confidence to get out on his bike again. These are perfect, it’s easy to remove the pads he didn’t need, and they’re lightweight, comfortable and fit under his trousers well.

I haven’t used these properly yet but I think they will be perfect for protecting my thighs from bruising in my sailing dinghy. I love that you can remove the bits of padding you don’t need and they seemed really flexible and lightweight when I tried them on. Exactly what I need!

Good for ice skating (worn under trousers). I bought these shorts for ice skating protection, planning to wear them under trousers. I have found them to be ideal for that use, once I got the right size. The shorts have a range of pads spread across the leg, hip and coccyx (bum) area. Each pad is pretty large and they're not too bulky. I thought that they gave reasonable protection to all areas. All of the padding is removable by manoeuvring it through small holes on the inside of the shorts (I haven't tried yet). There is no drawstring or fly but they pull on/off easily enough and are comfortable enough to wear - I forgot that I was wearing them when driving and skating. I didn't feel that they restricted my movements nor felt overly warm (but I was ice skating). I did notice the warmth once I took them off. I would suggest that you check the sizing carefully. I have a 32/33 inch waist (as measured with a tape measure) and the Small shorts were the right size to wear under trousers. The padding is not so bulky that trousers felt tight. I understand that other people wear them over trousers, but I didn't attempt this. Build quality seems good and in general these may be a reasonable pair of protective shorts depending on your activity.

Purchased as I go stunt scooting with my daughter and at my age I now long bounce, I just break... Comfortable, well padded and perfect for protecting you from a hard fall. Need to wear baggy shorts over them, or you look like your have a massive nappy on, done something nasty in your pants. If you need / want some padding, don't want any restriction of movement, at a sensible price, these are fab.

I am a 30inch waist, 172cm (5'9") and these Medium fit perfect! I am super happy with them. Deliberately fell a few times on the quarter pipe (and accidentally slipped backwards on the bowl) and not once did it hurt, and rhe fall backwards should have given me a nasty bruise on my hip, (or a banged coccyx had I not controlled my fall...but didn't want to risk testing that at my age 😂) these things feel as though they are specifically designed for skaters (bladers) rather than some products which are generic action sports and don't have the padding in exactly the right places. I really cannot fault these at all!

Pretty good product, VERY bulky, you need loose fitting shorts over it. I'm an inline skater, so skater 3/4 shorts fit comfortably over the top. The mega downside is, when you fall (doing aggressive skating, jumps / ramps etc) the 1 area you NEED padding hasn't got any! It's protected my coccyx a few times for sure. It's a shame the reverse part is my thigh is absolutely destroyed! This product needs to Kering with, padding moves to some better places and skimmed down (Picture attached shows where passing really needs to be, that gap is seriously bad, that's where 99% of your impact goes when you fall on your butt / slightly to the right, which is very common when skating) You sweat like an absolute animal in these too! There is no wicking or air flow, pure heat and sweat. It doesn't rub which is great! Washed in my machine 4 times now, no fabric softener, holding up very well.

I purchase these to replace a cheaper version that i had in previous years that I was not confident with. The cheaper ones did not have any protection just where i thought i needed it. As proved when I took a heavy fall right on my ceramic replacement hip, this was on compressed snow that was like concrete. These bodyprox shorts give protection in the area i need. I did not manage to test it on the ceramic side this time but on the other side i felt no impact at all when glancing off hard packed snow. Very pleased with the protection so far. A slight downside to this design is that there is no front gap in the design so if worn under a one piece suit a little planning is needed for any comfort stop needed. Over all i am very pleased and wish that I had come across them when i ordered my first protective shorts.

Excellent product. Good fit with good coccyx protection. Worn a few times now without any degradation or reduction in the quality of protection material.

Sous cuissard de protection acheté pour le vtt. A mettre sous 1 short ou pantalon. N' étant pas prévu seulement pour le VTT, il ne porte pas de peau de chamois. J en ai cousu une , ce qui m évite de porter dessous un slip cuissard.on peut oter les mousses de protection dont on n a pas besoin. Article avec tissus élastique et résistant. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

I ordered a medium and it fits perfectly. I feel more confident learning how to snowboard now that my tailbone is protected. I’m a 5’1 female, weight 141lbs. I workout and my thighs are bigger and the medium fits perfectly.

...die letzten Tage schon das eine oder andere Mal den Ar*** und die Hüfte gerettet hat! Ich fahre sehr viel Schlittschuh (Freestyle) und stürze natürlich auch das eine oder andere Mal wenn ich neue Tricks/Moves ausporbiere, Knieschoner und Ellenbogenschoner habe ich eh schon seit Anfang an im Einsatz, aber eine passende Hose für den Hüft- bzw. Steißbereich fehlte noch. Diese Hose übernimmt das jetzt. :) Durch die Möglichkeit die Polsterungen (Es sind übrigen nur einfache Schaumstoffpolster) herauszunehmen, kann man sie individuell an den gewünschten Einsatzzweck anpassen und außerdem hat man dann auch noch die Möglichkeit eine normale Hose - in meinem Fall Skinny-Jeans mit 2 % Elastan - drüber zu ziehen. Es sieht dann zwar ein wenig aus als hätte man eine Windel an, aber es geht. :) Ich bin jetzt schon zwei Mal mit der Hose gestürzt und hätte ohne sie sicherlich Prellungen an meiner Hüfte und am Steiß und die Hose hat das perfekt verhindert! Ich werde, zumindest in der Phase wo ich neue Tricks/Moves ausprobiere nicht mehr ohne fahren. Klare Kaufempfehlung! Noch eine Info zur Größe, ich bin 182 cm und wiege ca. 78 kg und die Größe M passt perfekt. Sie sitzt nicht zu eng und auch nicht locker und verrutscht nicht. Vielleicht hilft das ja dem ein oder anderen bei der Größenfindung. :) UPDATE nach mehrmaliger Benutzung: Wie auch schon in anderen Rezensionen geschrieben verlieren die wechselbaren Polster etwas die Form. Vor allem die Dicke lässt nach weil sie durchs Tragen zusammengedrückt werden. Am meisten betrifft das den Schutzschaumstoff am Hintern/Steißbein. Das ist schade, aber nicht weiter schlimm. Ich habe mir einfach Ersatz gebastelt aus einer alten günstigen Yoga-Matte. Ehrlich gesagt ist der Schutz jetzt sogar deutlich besser als mit den originalen Polstern. Also falls jemand das gleiche Problem hat, eine alte Yoga-Matte funktioniert passend zurecht geschnitten super! :)

Maat is goed. Ik heb zelf broekmaat 30 en maat M past erg goed. Goede bescherming. Een week geleden goed uit kunnen proberen. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding erg goed!!! Zeker een aanrader.

ゴールキーパーをやっている子供に購入しました。 170センチ弱・50キロ・ウエスト70センチだったのでＳサイズにし、ちょうど良い大きさでした。 スポンジがしっかりしていて、痛みを気にせず思い切ってボールをキャッチできるようです。 サッカー用のインナーではないかもしれませんが、他の方のレビューでゴールキーパーの息子さんに購入されたとあり、安心して購入することが出来ました。 ガビックとウールシュポルトのインナーも持っていますが、スポンジの厚みはこちらが断トツです。
