My daughter LOVES the color first off! When we opened the box (which is very well packaged) it obviously comes with two walkie-talkies and also A good set of directions. I’m not the kind of mom that likes to refer to directions and less I absolutely have to. Lol We easily took the clip off on the back and removed the battery cover. It takes 4 AAA batteries. ( I would recommend getting the e lithium batteries though. My kido (3yo) kept these on for DAYS playing with them ALL day and we killed regular Costco batteries within 4 days) These are super simple to operate. Easy to turn on, change the volume, and change radio channel. My 3 yo already know how to do everything from paging the other device to the awesome little flashlight that is on the walkie talkie! I can safely say that I did not read the instructions LOL So far they’re pretty durable, she drops it a lot and I have had not one single issue. The back and the clip have not come off after being dropped nor has the unit turned off from being dropped either. All in all we love em! They have a good range so far. (We live in a 3300sqft long house and whether one is inside or outside close or far we have had no connection issues. I would strongly recommend these. P.S. I’m having tons of fun with them too with my little lol

We bought these a few weeks ago and my boys absolutely LOVE them. Their neighbor friend had a set and they wanted to communicate with him, and eventually a bunch of other families on our block purchased them. The kids play and ride bikes with them constantly. They love the idea that there are different channels so they can communicate "privately" with each other. It's really fun to see how they interact with them since all their friends have one. (And one of the parents bought an extra one to keep an ear out for what's going on!) The picture shows my son communicating to my other son all the way down the block. (You can't even see him in the picture). It actually goes even further! The kids love the flashlight on it for some reason? And they love the ringtone feature as well. They've been dropped multiple times on concrete and have held up fine. They are by far the best walkie-talkies i've ever played with. The biggest plus to them as a parent, (besides keeping my kids entertained) is that there is no static noise! You only hear something when someone speaks or calls. It's SO nice! Only downside is the batteries. They take 4-AAAs and they last just fine. I don't feel it drains batteries by any means, but I'd like to have them be a rechargeable battery pack. There's advantages/disadvantages to that. Overall, fantastic purchase and I'd buy again in a heartbeat!

The product is great, it works perfectly, and is a really fun toy for kids, the only problem is that it takes too much batteries and they run out really fast.

These walkie talkies make the perfect gift for a kiddo. They have been a huge hit with our 4 year old son. We have used it in a variety of ways from functional to fun. We found my son is very quick to follow our instructions when transitioning from a fun activity to a not so prefered activity (for example from play to clean up/come up for tub/come up for supper/time to come inside". They also helped our family to communicate with talking to loudly on a recent hike. Along with functional, we have found it has made hide and seek super fun as well as increased our ability to successfully have a conversation on the phone (since he needs to wait for a reply and respond). The walkie talkie is very easy to use and the perfect size for little hands to use and for transportation. The reception seems to be great so far, very clear. It also has a fun little light and a way to clip to a young kiddos clothing. We also like the fun vibrant color. We definitely recommend this product to others.

These are fantastic! The sound quality is really good. The range is actually pretty far. One of my kids walked up a few houses and they could still hear each other well. They use them with our neighbors and enjoy talking to each other but can turn them off when peace and quiet is needed. Pretty easy for my 5 year old to learn how to use. There are many channels to use. We got a second set because we wanted to share with the neighbor kids. They are a different color. It has monitor for battery life, a tower for range, and a flashlight on it, too. Good quality for a great price!

I read the instructions and set them up and locked the settings so the kids couldn't mess them up. Once done, they worked great and the kids loved them! However, just a couple weeks later the batteries in one of the units wouldn't stay securely seated so the unit stopped working. Basically, the metal contacts in the battery compartment are too loose and barely moving the unit causes the battery to slip out enough to no longer power it. With only one walkie talkie working, the two units are basically useless. I just returned them to Amazon.

This set of walkie-talkies are very good quality, easy to carry, very lightweight and with all the functions needed for young kids. I have 2 kids (5 and 7) and we use them regularly: go to the park, one kid is upstairs, the other in the backyard., etc,. There is an unlimited list of games that you can organize. They have a reach of 3 miles that we tested perfectly from our house to the park. They have enough settings to make use enjoyable and are quite resistant. They are shaped to fit the hand comfortably. The push to TALK button is very easy to use for a 4-5 year old. The monitor is very nice, the device has a battery saving function that allows to keep batteries for a longer time. These walkie talkies are not just toys; they don’t look act or feel like toys. I am planning to buy another set so that my children can play with friends, I highly recommend them!

These Obuby walkie talkies are so cute and I love the beach color. They fit in the palm of my hand and just perfect for My nephew’s little hands. My 3-year-old nephew has dropped them a number of times, but are quite durable and did not break. It took him awhile to learn all the features, but once he did he was good to go! He uses these to communicate with his best friend at the playground. Since the distance says 3km, I’m thinking of getting another for myself! I live about a half mile away from my sister/nephew so it would be awesome if we can communicate with these. Pros: belt clip, durability, vox without having to keep your fingers pressed on the PTT button, flashlight and clear LED display, great sound quality. Overall I am pleased with my purchase especially at the price I paid for them. Cons: a little complicated for a 3 year old to use initially but I figure my nephew will understand how to use it better when he’s a little older. The walkie talkies require 4 AAA batteries per walkie talkie, so that’s 8 altogether. I would recommend getting rechargeable batteries.
