This is the one you need for self study
This is what I needed to review my rusty skills for a new job role. Suitable for those with some calculus, linear algebra, etc. already under their belt. Well written and reasonably clear (I mean, no textbook on this subject is going to be light reading), as with all textbooks there are lots of missing steps you have to figure out on your own though the authors do seem to have made a decent attempt here to minimize that chore. Biggest plus is there is a solutions manual floating around you can get so this is a rare book suitable for self study. Just make sure you have the pre-reqs in place because you'll need them. Does not cover the more advanced topics you'll need if you are an aerospace engineer, particularly controls or proximity operations but this is all the stuff you need before tackling that more advanced work. Has a decent intro chapter on C-H equations.

The Orbital standard.
Orbital Mechanics is a phenomenal textbook reference which is the standard for all things associated with space engineering. The book is however at a mathematical level above the average high school student. I would loved to have seen each orbital math problem worked out with detailed and background explanations.

Good Textbook, But Lots of Errors
I would give this textbook 5 stars were it not for the large amount of errors. I have found countless errors in the examples and chapter problems. This can be as little as one step in an example, to the final answer being wrong! The author should definitely have the book reviewed. Besides this, the textbook is definitely a great introduction to orbital mechanics.

Great doorstop.
Great for holding a door open. I think my spouse might be using this product differently.

Reasonably clear, lots of errors, missing motivation for topics
The book is relatively well written and generally quite clear - the prose, at least. There are a significant number of typos and errors, which should have been corrected by the 4th edition of a textbook. I have the first edition and many of the same errors appear. The errors occur in problem statements, answers given to problems, and most crucially, in several equations throughout the chapters.Aside from those easy-to-fix problems, I also feel like this book could do with some more motivating topical discussion. A few paragraphs here and there describing why this topic is important and why it is being presented in the order it is would go a long way to help students muddle through the math.

Mauvais choix d'achats.
