Over the years I have developed a sensitivity to lots of things found in sunscreens.....even the so called 'natural sunscreens'. I am outside for many hours at a time during some of the hottest and most intense times of the year. Regular (and other natural) sunscreens cause the skin on my neck and scalp to form welts that are very unsightly, last for weeks, and can even be painful. I shave my head and during the summer months I just can't shave because of the welts that sunscreens cause.I tried this product this last weekend. I was in the sun and directly exposed for around 7 hours (not all at one time) all day for two days. I applied the product as recommended and at regular intervals. With a normal or other natural sunscreens the welts will show up within 24 hours of applying the product. It has now been 3 days and I have absolutely no welts anywhere on my neck, face, or scalp, and no sunburn anywhere.As a quick side note, my wife breaks out in a painful and itchy rash after being in the sun for ANY amount of time without sunscreens that contain zinc. She has also tried many and they have failed her repeatedly...I just realized....she didn't get a rash after this weekend and by now it would be all over her arms and legs. She used the LureLux to test it out as well.In conclusion, I may never buy another product again. I will say that during the application it is not scent-less...it has the slight smell of cardboard that quickly dissipates after you apply it, but I am welt free for the first time in 3 years after being in the sun! If you need to something for your kids or you have sensitive skin....you NEED this product!IN FULL DISCLOSURE: I DID NOT receive ANYTHING at all in any way from this company, not a discount, not free shipping, not a wink.....I just truly believe in this product!

This was my all time favorite mineral sunscreen for many months. I purchased the smaller bottle (2 oz) several months ago and wore it through out the summer. The smell was wonderful, a light tropical scent, and it worked great. I started to run low and decided to buy the bigger bottle. I ended up having a little over a months worth in the little bottle by the time my new bottle arrived. When I finally opened the 4 oz bottle it smelled totally different. Like it had gone bad. Not a totally rancid smell, but nothing like the nice scent from the previous bottle. I emailed the company and Amazon ended up refunding my money. I am so disappointed in the inconsistency of this product. I was reading other reviews that said it didn't work and smelled funky, but I think it's probably because they too, had a bad batch. I am going to try another smaller bottle, but I am reluctant to purchase from this company again.

You would be surprised to find out how man chemicals are in sunscreens. Even the "natural" brands have questionable ingredients. Or, they leave your face looking white and don't work as well. Well, not this brand. I've been using it for years as a daily sunscreen for skin longevity, and it's the best! I'm serious I look 10 years younger and this has helped! I do use another brand (Blue Lizard) for days that I'll be swimming and I need some of those good old chemicals that help it stick around longer but for everyday use, this is the best one. I recommend getting both. This one for daily protection and Blue Lizard for swimming activities. Best combo trust me! :)

Took this sunscreen on a trip to Florida. Reapplied about every 60-90 minutes. Got the worst burn if my life. I am not fair skinned either. I would not recommend this product. I don't like to knock small companies. But this could turn out horrible for a small child or baby trusting that it would protect them. Very disappointed.

So far, so good. Texture is smooth and easy to apply/rub in (I recently tried another holistic zinc sun cream which was rather grainy and greasy, so this is a nice upgrade). My complexion is really pale, so it blends in very well for me, and it is difficult for me to comment on whether or not it leaves white marks, since the difference would be nearly imperceptible on my skin. I suppose that means I can almost guarantee that if you are also super fair, this will blend in well for you. The smell is light and 'clean' so it does not offend or overpower when putting it on the face (which is my primary usage of it so far). I've not gotten burned, and I spend quite a bit of time outdoors (though, admittedly, not in peak UV hours between 10-2p). Being an all natural, thick zinc sun cream (eg. a physical sun blocker), you can sort of feel the cream on your face throughout the day (especially when perspiring). I have gotten used to this sensation, and I'm pleased that it does not itch or burn like other zinc creams I have tried. For me, the one big downside is the bottle. The sun cream is rather thick, so squeezing it out of this bottle is a bit difficult. One really needs to use quite a bit of hand strength. I've taken the cap completely off to use it, but that means plopping out a bit too much sometimes. It would be much better in a softer, pinch-tube package or open-top jar. The product itself seems great, but the manageability of the bottle gives it a little bit of a downgrade. I think it might be especially difficult for younger or older users to handle on their own.
