Sure To Delight Budding Car Daredevils
My two year old grandson really likes twirly ramps and racing inclines. This is the only well made toy I could find that incorporates the two. I bought Matchbox cars/carrying case to accompany this birthday gift, but grandson prefers playing with the wooden cars and helicopter that were included. Their chunky oversize and simple style is perfect for two year olds. I was surprised to read reviews commenting assembly was difficult. There are many pieces, but they are numbered and directions are clear cut. My daughter easily assembled it by herself and commented afterwards she wished all instructions were that thorough. The colored screw tops blend into the backgrounds and enhance the finished product. I do agree with other reviewers that it would be nice if the end jump ramp was permanently attached but my daughter made a good observation. If it were, the likelihood of breaking at that point would increase dramatically. Grandson doesn't even mind pushing the end ramp back up against the main body. At this point the spiral ramp captures his attention more anyhow. Grandson is mesmerized watching cars go down three levels. He also enjoys the working race light and shouts "go" as the light blinks from red to yellow, then finally green. For such an expensive toy, elevator operation should be smoother. Grandson can't move it at all without assistance. I hurt my fingers between the elevator and roof top numerous times just trying to budge it upwards. Maybe continual use will eventually make movement easier. Overall, I'm very happy to have purchased this racing set as a birthday gift for a two year old boy. It's well made and a toy sure to keep his interest for many years to come.

Great ramp and super sturdy!
Love how sturdy and large this is — great ramp for hot wheels. Takes some time to assemble, but not a big deal — although they could’ve been more specific on which colored screws go where — FYI the screws meant for the underside are actually brown, not grey as I thought when I put it together. Not a huge deal, but would’ve removed some guess work! Elevator worked for me — just the right amount of friction to keep it from sliding straight down on its own. Some advice I’d give future buyers: if you don’t want to hunt down random toy parts, super glue the yellow caution edge pieces in and just toss the loose gas station (or super glue it somewhere); I tossed the helicopter too, because my kid doesn’t care about it (why play with a helicopter when you have multiple giant car ramps??); and for the love, gorilla tape, super glue, and/or hot glue gun (I did all three) the finish line to the ramp — why that isn’t attached I have no idea, but I don’t want to hunt that down either and it’s kind of a big deal (makes the cars fly in the air).

Fun playset with lots of features, assembly takes some time.
Overall a nice large playset for the kids with plenty of fun features. Once installed is feels solid and looks like it should be rather durable (time will tell). The winding ramps are fun and the jump at the bottom of the large ramp is pretty cool (the included cars fly pretty far). Assembly had some challenges which I will highlight below: - My box had two #10 pieces and was missing a #7. They are essentially the same piece, except the #7 has a slot to fit another piece into. Fortunately I had the tools necessary to make a slot myself, but I doubt most will be able to fix this themselves. I guess the saving grace is the slot only holds an ornamental piece in place and isn't critical if you left it out, but I hope my box was just failed quality inspection and others won't end up with this dilemma. - The screw heads are colored which is nice since they blend in with the artwork, but the assembly instructions don't tell you what color to use anywhere, and instead just tell you to use an "A" length screw leaving you to guess which color makes sense. It's obvious in some areas where there is solid color, but in others (especially early in the build) you have to guess which color leads you down the right path. Some hints: Black = all under the bottom base piece, Grey = 2nd and 3rd floor top, except maybe the edges where you could use yellow then I think you'll have 4 greys left for the bottom elevator piece (I used greys on the 2nd floor which forced yellow under the elevator), Natural (unpainted) = sides on 2nd floor in the two natural colored wood pieces. The middle single ramp hole also takes a grey screw. - The screws are also very tight, so be prepared to put some elbow grease into it. I used a cordless screwdriver for most of the work to speed things up. - Look carefully at the orientation of the tall ramp sides. It's easy to install these upside down. Also don't tighten them down completely until it's installed to the top floor. This will help with alignment at the top. - One of the gas pumps has a portion of a finger print in the painted artwork. Looks like another quality fail. - The elevator fits tightly (even after aligning the sliding pieces to avoid them being at an angle). There are two ball bearing friction slides which seem to be very strong. When I push up on the elevator the whole thing just about lifts off the floor. I suppose I could remove one of the bearings (held in place with 2 screws) effectively reducing the friction in half, but for now I'm leaving it to see if the kids complain.

About Time!! Way to Go KidKraft!!
This is by far the best garage we have come across for our almost 4 year old. He is all boy and very hard on toys. We have gone through just about every garage playset on the market in the past 2 years. Even last years version of this one. This is sturdy and very entertaining. The cars along with hotwheels go down the ramp with no issues. Most tracks we have had would be flimsy and cars would fall off. Along with the track itself always falling off. Not this one. Well made and on there snug. It's great for multiple kids to play on as well. The carwash is a great addition. Most kids love the train sets car washes. This one is a lot like the same. The kids all love it. The elevator is a bit hard to get up and down. You do it by hand. Wish it was wind up like last years. But we'll be getting some grease to see if that will help some. And the manual is a bit tricky. It could definitely have better descriptions of how the pieces should be screwed together. But I just looked at the box when I needed help and you can pretty much see how it all go's. Over all we are very happy. Great job KidKraft.

Good quality very sturdy my 4 year old loves it and is so excited to play with this! Only took about an hour to put together and all prices were accounted for. We knew this would be much more suitable for our youngster as it doesn't come apart during use like some car tracks. Would recommend.

Was allerdings überhaupt nicht stört.
