It does the job with some modifications
If you have a heavy aftermarket hood like me you will need more powerful lifters. The ones with the kit are rated only for the original hood. Another thing is that it uses only one screw and with time it will rotate so screwing another one is a must. I recommend the BOXI 4128 Universal Lift Supports Struts rated at 100 pound each. It will make all the difference specially on aftermarket hoods.

Bought 2 sets and both seem to be great.
I put a set of these on my 2013 Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang and a set on my 2014 Shelby GT500 Ford Mustang and both sets went on fairly easy and work as designed. Really worth the money to get rid of that ugly prop rod for the hood.
