Not vintage
This was sold as a vintage item, but it's brand new. A little disappointed, but it's a decent example of a copy so my other half can play and figure out how it works.

Its packaged well and I got exactly what I expected, however, its heavier than I thought it would be. I'm very satisfied with this purchase as a christmas present for someone.

Nice wooden presentation box with felt lining, and the sextant appears to work well for sun and stars. The protractor locking knurl was broken off and laying in the box when arrived. I decided not to fuss about it since it has a good smooth Drag Out of the box. The only reason for a 4 instead of 5 stars is the broken protractor knurl knob. This is a nice looking brass instrument from a time gone by.
