Looks great
Not too loud and would say it’s perfect for someone that wants the noise but has close neighbors they don’t want to wake up. Drone isn’t horrible either

Just what I was looking for
The Amazon product information is a little bit lacking. This is what would commonly be referred to as an 18" muffler as it has an 18" long case. The case is an 18x5x8 oval. I had this muffler installed in place of stock on my GMC Yukon with 5.3L V8. I wanted something that would provide a nice, deep, healthy exhaust note that actually let me know there was a V8 lurking. However, I did not really want it to be loud as this is to be a family vehicle and we drive nearly 1,000 miles, each way, 2-3 times a year. I am happy to report that there is no mistaking the presence of a V8 but there is absolutely no drone whatsoever, the neighbors will never be bothered by it early in the morning or late at night, and even my wife didn't have anything against it after I had it installed before she even knew I had it. I might even consider recommending a 14" version if you don't mind a little more noise. Most pickups I hear with a modified exhaust (which is very common) are definitely louder than mine. Your call. UPDATE: September 2018. My review from above stands. If I was to do it again, I just might go with a slightly smaller and thus louder muffler. But without having tried, I can't say for sure. I still know there's a V8 in there when I hit the gas, but it's quite muffled. I suppose for a full size and slow SUV it's still the right call...however it this was for a pickup, not loud enough. The best 5.0 F-150 muffler for a respectable, confident V8 rumble
The PERFECT aftermarket muffler for the 5.0 f-150. After much research, and watching many YouTube videos of 5.0 f-150’s with this muffler, I decided to pull the trigger. The muffler arrived faster than expected, and I had a local muffler shop weld it on my truck in 40 minutes for less than $60.00. As for the sound, it couldn’t be a more perfect tone for me. There is a nice low rumble at all times, and it sounds aggressive when you lay into the gas, but it’s quiet at highway cruising speeds and during light acceleration. I’ve always loved the deep rumble of a V8, and this muffler lets that motor sing without pissing off my wife or being obnoxious in public. If you’re hoping to look tough by having the loudest and most obnoxiously truck and be that guy that everyone loves to hate, this isn’t your muffler. If you’re looking for a muffler that’s a very respectable step up from your stock muffler, and you love the low rumble of a powerful V8 without alerting the neighborhood to your presence, this muffler is absolutely perfect.

NOT a direct swap into 2019 F150 V8
I see a lot of peeps saying they just swapped this on their 2015+ F150. Rather than have a shop do this, I handled it myself and can tell you that this is not a simple swap. It’s several inches shorter than the stock muffler and does not have the hanger in place. It’s also 3” where the F150 stock exhaust is about 2.5” (if I remember correctly) so you’ll need to measure your exhaust pipes and order reducers. It’s a bit quieter than I expected, but a little louder than stock. Not bad, but I’ll probably yank the resonator at some point.

Sounds great
Did resonator delete and replaced stock muffler on my 2017 f150 5.0 crew cab with this muffler, it sounds great and is super deep toned like I wanted but holy smokes is the drone inside the cab bad, I’m adding a resonator to try and kill the drone

Great pass through muffler
Installed this myself on my 2017 Silverado 1500 5.3L. I cut off the factory muffler and resonator and welded this on with a turn down. It’s still surprisingly quiet but has a nice tasteful rumble at idle and sounds respectable at WOT. Magnaflow alway has quality products and this one was no exception. Would highly recommend. NOTE: I still have all three factory catalytic converters installed

Fantastic sound and quality. Great for the price.
This muffler performed fantastic. This was the best purchase I have made for my 2018 ford f150 so far! Highly recommend for the best rumble and good sound but not obnoxious!

When I was looking into this I just about went the muffler delete and install straight pipe route. Watching YouTube videos doesn’t give you a real comparison of sound levels though. I went with a MagnaFlow 12249 and I’m glad I did. It has a smooth throaty sound but not too loud. I spoke to a guy a while back that did the straight pipe and it was substantially louder than I would want. Hope this helps. 🛻💭

Installed on my 16 f150. One reducer and a small piece of 2.5" exhaust pipe - a bit of welding and voilà! Any exhaust shop would install for you fairly inexpensively. It fit perfectly, looks great, and gives just enough extra grumble with the 5 litre that you know something has been done - but not loud enough to annoy the neighbours in the wee hours of the morning!

My son just bought a 2008 Infiniti G37 that has been modified and was insanely loud. It was catless and basically straight piped 3” (single exhaust), save for two resonators of some description that did seemingly very little. Uncertain how these would sound together, we ordered this Magnaflow 12249 muffler and a Vibrant Ultraquiet Resonator from Amazon. The resonator was installed In the middle and the muffler at the back. These are both straight-through designs. I have to say, the result was perfect. It has a good rumble, sounds great when you put your foot into it, but is not obnoxiously loud at any point. Very pleased with this product.

Awesome deep sounding exhaust. Installed onto a 2008 Silverado with the 4.8. 3" in/out is a great fit for factory exhaust, little shorter then stock so you'll need a little extra pipe bent up at a shop.
