This SIM card worked great for my vacation to the UK and France. I read multiple horror stories about people with six figure phone bills after traveling abroad and I didn’t want to take any chances. I used this card in my old iPhone XS Max. As the listing says, you can’t call or text, but if you’re an I phone user, you can use iMessage and FaceTime audio/video for calls to other iPhone users. We did end up having to call our airline a few times, so it was helpful to be with someone who had a fully working phone, but other than that, it worked great. I was also automatically connected to 3 network wifi in several of the tube stations. My trip was 11 days and I still had about 15% data left after arriving home. The app is helpful to use to track your usage along the way. Highly recommend this product!

I have used these SIM cards in a hotspot many times but the only issue you have to careful is auto updates which can consume all the data in a single night! The problem is that the devices ( phone, tablet, etc ) see a WiFi connection and assume it’s fine to update apps, etc. I made the mistake this summer of allowing a friend to join my hotspot and they consumed several gig before I realized it. So, always manually turn off updates for any device that is going to connect to a hotspot. Other than that, it works great.

Had this for a month of traveling, first to Ireland, then the UK, Italy then back to Ireland. Popped the sim card right after landing in Shannon, restarted the phone and it was good to go. As the description clearly states, you cannot send SMS messages, but WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram messenger all worked fantastic. Mostly drove across Ireland and Italy without Wifi, used Google Maps and Amazon Music in the cars for hours on end with no issue. Highly recommended.

We used these SIM cards for a trip to France and Switzerland. Installation was easy (just had to reboot phone again after inserting SIM).Please note that this SIM card does *NOT* come with minutes of voice or with SMS/MMS quotas. Nobody can call/SMS/MMS you on the number provided by the SIM. But it comes with 12GB of data, which was more than enough for us. We used Skype, WhatsApp and Duo for voice calls, and WhatsApp for texting. I also have a VoIP app (with a US number) that I used to receive plain old-fashioned SMS messages.Coverage was very good. We mostly got 4G (rarely 3G) connections, but our phones are a few years old and don't support 5G anyway, so I can't speak to that. Still, was more than enough for our purposes.I have also had good luck with the Orange Holiday cards, and those will still be my go-to for European travel of 2 weeks and less (since they expire after 14 days) because they come with a local European (French) phone number that can receive/make voice calls and SMS. However, for longer trips, this may become my new go-to travel SIM card.

I searched Amazon for a France SIM card and ended up buying this but it does not work in France although it says it does and please know that the 24 GB is only for the UK it's less for other countries. Worse, I tried to get hope on the website and it was totally unhelpful.There are bars on the phone as if it had data but it never worked.Also it doesn't include a little pin to push out your SIM card tray so remember to bring a pin if you buy this for a trip. I do not recommend this product and I'm going to be requesting a refund.
