Who Needs defrost in the cold area
During a recent storm the passenger mirror on the 2015 Tundra came off. There was no sign of damage it just seemed to pop off. I thought something broke so I ordered another mirror that I thought would come with the backing plate, it did not. What the mean by the backing plate is the plastic the "glass" is mounted to. I finally has some time to install my new mirror only to find out as soon as I attached the defrost wire the entire terminal on the mirror just fell off. Unfortunately while I was trying to install this mirror my original slid off the hood and ended up in pieces on the ground or I would have re-installed that and threw this one in the trash.I do not recommend this mirror since the defrost terminal is too fragile.
