This book is super interesting with tons of bucket list ideas! Makes a great gift!

What a great book. I am coming up with a plan to do a driving trip of the U.S.A. and am using this book as my guide to figure out where to go. Organized by state it highlights the top places you should have on your list and does so well with some pictures as well. The descriptions are just the right amount to inform you and let you decide what to visit but not too much. A definite must for travelling the U.S.A.

This is a fantastic book for anyone that wants to explore the United States and actually get an real feel for the culture of a particular area. I found it to be very helpful when planning a road trip, we use the book to help us determine the places we want to see as we travel to our final destination. The book is especially helpful because it covers all of the important things to see in each state. We have had a lot of luck with the restaurants recommended as well. The only reason that I didn't give the book 5 stars is because it is a little clunky and hard to navigate through. It would be nice if the states were separated using tabs, to make them easier to find. It would also be nice if the sections within the states were better laid out, instead of looking at the city and then putting large paragraph style synopsis, having the major cities with subtitles sections (like food, history, entertainment).

Cool book. So many interesting places that NEED to be visited. It gives a short history on each site and why it must be seen. Purchased for my partner so the next time we need to plan a vacation -- here is the go-to guide!

This book is fantastic. Although the listings are subjective to the opinion of the author, there are places to see in this book that broadly reach out to almost all areas of a traveler's interest from nature and tradition to quirky hole in the wall places and fine dining. I would highly recommend this book, especially if you are going on a road trip.

Have been to many of the places listed. Good guide for places to start. There are many more spectacular places not included in the book. One of my friends uses this book religiously and wants to actually see all 1000 places. He is almost there and has the page signed when he goes.

Lots of awesome information just wish it was available in LARGER print! DEFINITELY recommend!

I travel quite often and I'm always wondering what are some great places and things to do in and around the area I'm visiting. This book has been nice to have but I would recommend just a couple changes. First, I would have organized the book by states. I understand where the author was going with grouping regions, but it's ingrained in me to search alphabetically. Also unless you will be driving through that region it is a hassle to look up the area you will be visiting. I fly most of the time, so I'm in a certain area and just want to visit that one state. Second, Is really just a suggestion, I would have had a top 50 list at the beginning of the book; one top pick from each state. FYI, These make great anniversary presents for couples that like to travel!!!

Can't wait to hit the road.

Great book with great ideas of what to do. Where to visit and what you must not forget to do before you die.

Sehr informatives Buch. Einen Teil der beschriebenen Plätze haben wir mittlerweile gesehen, aber "before we die" müssen wir noch einiges besuchen.
