My daughter who is dinosaur crazy, went nuts for this excavation kit. The stegosaurus skull is in one complete piece and is embedded in soft plaster. This is a messy activity, so I put this in a pan for her to contain the debris. Included is a wood chisel and a brush. Wetting the plaster makes it easier to dig into.Once dug up, the stegosaurus skull is placed on the included wooden dowel and wooden base. For the price, I think this is a good value and an enjoyable activity for little ones. My daughter has this placed on the desk in her room.

I got this for my 10 year old, future paleontologist nephew and he absolutely loves it! He didn’t hesitate to get to digging it out and was excited to see the great looking skull inside! Very nice stand which in all makes it a very nice display piece. I highly recommend!

I got one for my son and he loved it so much we got one for his friends birthday present. This is a great gift and hands on. It takes around 10 minutes to break and then some more time cleaning it up. They loved it and saw it as an adventure. However, this should definitely be done outside since the dust is pretty fine. This is our go to for a birthday present and very well priced!

For how much I paid I couldn't be more pleased. Easy enough to do with children but interesting enough I got it for my husband who is 30. He loves dinosaurs and has ADHD so really loves doing anything with his hands. Hes also loves collectables or nick nacks so the fact it comes with a display was awesome. Said it was his favorite gift this birthday.

It was fun digging out the skull with my kiddo, but parts of it were so thin they broke with minimal pressure on them. The rest of skull still has chunks in the smaller parts because I don't to break anymore. My son loved it though and it was a nice afternoon activity.
