Easy to set up, easy to use, works as it should, great price
I use these CNZ thermometers for my shrimp tanks. I have 6 tanks and wanted each to have their own thermometers, so the 6-pack was perfect. Each unit came in its own packaging which included the unit itself with a battery already installed. Each thermometer also came with a small bag containing a spare battery, which will save me a trip to the store. As for the functionality, it suits my needs perfectly. The temperature probe sensor is pretty accurate (I've checked the temperatures against two different thermometers I own). The power button is responsive, and the slider for displaying Celsius or Fahrenheit is easy to use.The wire for the temperature probe is fairly long so positioning the probe and display unit is pretty flexible if you don't have a giant tank. The display unit is easy to mount with its attached suction cup. I read a lot of reviews where some users are facing difficulty keeping their display units mounted. A trick I learned/used whenever using suction cups is to add some moisture to the cup before pressing it against the glass. I just dip my finger into the tank and dab some of the water onto the suction cup before affixing it to the glass. None of the displays have come off since the initial mount. All in all, I have nothing bad to say about this product so far. I would recommend purchasing this product to anyone that needs a thermometer for their aquarium. I will update this review if my opinion changes.

Slight Malfunction With One
Received these for a vivarium setup. Both came with batteries already in them, an extra battery each, and were turned on showing degrees in C. Not sure for how long they were on, though it is possible they were accidentally turned on while in transit. The first one opened operated without a flaw, the slide feature to show F instead of C worked, and it matched temps with two other thermometers accurately. The second one, when switched to F from C, however, is in a constant fluctuation state between the two any time it is touched, jostled or looked at cross-eyed. Attempted to turn off then on again, switched the battery, and it still remains twitchy when showing F... so, I switched it back to C and turned it off for now. Obviously there's some sort of electrical issue with the F to C slide on that one which, disappointing, isn't that big a deal for me, but it may be to others. I would suggest getting a double pack or definitely more than one if you're going to purchase this thermometer just to be on the safe side that you don't end up with a twitchy one.

so our fish is a lot more active and happy! We started with the stick on kind with ...
This aquarium thermometer makes it much easier for my 8 year old to monitor the water temperature in his betta aquarium. Jigglywig the Betta Fish appreciates having the right temperature water. Betta are tropical fish, and we live in the PNW in a house built in 1933...Room temperature water was in the low to mid 60s. This thermometer helps us maintain a more appropriate betta temperature of 72-82, so our fish is a lot more active and happy! We started with the stick on kind with the squares that change color, but not only did it not come with instructions explaining the different colors in the squares, it also wasn't particularly accurate since it's on the outside of the tank. The only improvement I would appreciate with the CNZ thermometer would be a second suction cup for the cord inside. We have our sensor in the front of our 3.5 gallon half circle aquarium so that it isn't directly above the betta heater disk in the back, so the cord spans the aquarium to get to the cord access notch in the lid of the aquarium.

Test/Check Accuracy!
Of the 3 that I have, one reads about 10 degrees Fahrenheit low. The other 2 are within 1 degree of each other. I'm assuming that the two that agree with each other are accurate but I haven't tested with another thermometer yet.One way ticket test would be to use a glass of ice with enough water to submerge the probe. When I did this with the 1st two that I received, the faulty one said 26 degrees and the other 34. I swapped the batteries around but the results stayed the same.To the seller's credit, when I reported that at least one is wrong, they sent me a new one quickly.

I Paid WHAT for this Little Gem?!
These thermometers are currently in use ensuring ideal conditions for my beloved orchids and germinating mini lotus seeds (which are growing crazy fast).Much of the success of my indoor nursery must be credited to these inexpensive thermometers. They have been completely reliable thus far, and I marvel at their sensitivity to temperature changes. They show any temp shift fast. Then there are the suction cups, something I have always hated with the white hot hate of a thousand suns. Only because of the 100% fall off rate.I have to get my husband to help me pry these things off of the sides of the plant pots. And if all that is not quite enough for you, the thermometer comes with an extra battery.Amazing things for under $6.

I'd buy it again!
i;ve had this for a couple weeks now, never shut it off and it still works perfectly with a quick adjustment time! I take it out of the tank and place it in the bucket to make sure the water change is the correct temperature, i usually give it about 30 seconds to adjust and it gives me accurate readings. However, the suction cups worked until i had to move them, then they stuck for a day or so and haven't suctioned for more then a few minutes since. which is not a deal breaker for me because it was pretty inexpensive. Overall great product for the price!

Works perfect, can be used for other small animals besides fish.
I use this for my hedgehog’s habitat in order to monitor the inside temperature of it. I drop down the end for measuring the temperature about half way and tie it to the top of his habitat in the center yet away from being too close to the heat lamp. I put the digital end that you read the temperature on, onto the top of the habitat where I keep a lightweight fleece blanket over his home to help hold the heat in and keeps the digital reader part from falling in. It works great and has a long lasting battery, you get an extra battery with the unit. I’ve had mine for close to a year now and with the first battery I installed! Love this product.

Love it! Use it for water changes
Love it! Use it for water changes. When you have small tanks it's good to double check your temp so you don't shock your fish.

Not quite accurate.
The one I received reads about 0.5°F warmer than the actual temperature. Otherwise OK.
