Purchased this for our church - as caffeine is very important right before worship service. Needed something small to brew up to 30 cups. This works well so far. It brews coffee without issue. The interior did get dark like others mentioned, but I do not think that it is oxidation or something toxic. We get color changes like that when we cook in our large aluminum pots without issue. Basket inside is plastic - but doesn't affect quality of the coffee. It is a simple coffee maker that percolates coffee - and for that, this works well. Light turns on when ready, and we drink away. No leaks or problems yet.

Works great and very nice for the money. I'm happy with it. I would have given it five stars, but the spout is low enough that the coffee maker needs to be right at the edge of the table. I would have preferred to be able to put a cup under it with it back away from the edge.

You literally cannot get this size of coffee make any cheaper This is a workhorse coffee maker does exactly as it says make 42 cups of coffeeit takes about a minute a cup of coffee for the entire pot to brew and heat (this is standard for this size and style coffee maker ever if you spend double the money)For the price it is a great deal I use mine once a week for a meeting of 50+ people I don't think this model would stand up to commercial use.

I ordered 4 of these coffee pots. I used these at an event a couple of weeks ago. I used them for the second event today. Coffee went everywhere out the top and bottom on two of the pots. This is a poorly made item. I hope the manufacturer will give me a refund.

Gets way too hot. I bought this for a hot chocolate and sledding party. The water immediately melted the peppermint stir sticks and I had to add ice to even drink it. Also, the outside of the machine gets too hot to touch so be careful with little kids. It does holds a lot of water and heat up quickly. I didn't have to refill it even with 30+ people continuously using it. I didn't use it for coffee so I don't know how well that works. But it is easy to clean and store.

I ordered this product less than 2 months ago, and it's already broken.The spout on the coffee urn has broken, and leaks everywhere, making it totally unusable and a wasted purchase.

Does exactly what it says it will do. Very lightweight so easy to maneuver when full. You do need to tilt the urn if you want to get the last few cups because the spigot is set high, but not a big deal. The instruction booklet did say that there will be discoloration on the inside after use, but I was surprised at how deep the discoloration was. Anyway, good product for the price.

I am pretty particular about coffee. I like to gind my own beans and have never used a perc coffee pot in the past. But we were having a huge family gathering and I needed a lot of coffee.I ordered this Party Perk machine and when it came in I almost returned it because it seemed so flimsy, but I figured I'd give it a chance.I'm glad I did. All the information I read on the Internet about coffee said that perc'd coffee is not very good because the water is boiled and constantly recirculated through the grounds and this does not equate to how to achieve the best tasting coffee.Well, while this was not the BEST coffee I have ever had, the coffee was none-the-less very good. I used Berkley and Jensen ground coffee (available at BJ's Wholesale club)and I could not have been more pleased with the results from this Party Perk. I used a little more than 2-1/2 cups of ground coffee for the full 42 cups and the information I read about expecting the pot to brew the coffee at one cup per minute seemed pretty accurate.There were a lot of compliments on how good the coffee tasted. It did not taste burned, even after being kept warmed in the pot for a few hours.I cannot comment on the durability of the machine as I haven't had it that long. My parents saw this pot and remarked that they had the same one for many many years before they gave it away and never had the first bit of trouble with it.

I was very disappointed. I bought this to replace a different West Bend urn (I only use it for water) and I cannot get rid of the metallic taste that it gives the water.
