I took this to Italy with me not only for the convenience of the USB ports, but also for the one plug that converts voltage. It worked amazing for my curling iron and my blow dryer. The only thing I don’t love about it is the huge stars and stripes on the unit, but it works perfect. It’s compact, and not incredibly heavy.., It’s perfect for all of your devices, and, like I said, the one voltage converter outlet is fantastic for a blow dryer or curling iron in Europe

Just took this unit to Paris for 10 days, worked great, no issues. It comes in a nice travel case so packing is easy, it doesn't take up much space. Adapter plugs fit nicely and the converter allowed us to use portable devices such as a curling iron and electric razor. Bonus is the two separate USB ports that allow you to charge your phones while using the main plugs for other devices. It comes with adapters for several European countries as well. Worth the money, easy to use and it works great.

This product claims to be able to supply over 2000 watts. I bought it because of that rating but even when I tried to use my 120 v, 10 watt beard trimmer in the ONLY port that claims to step-down the voltage, my shaver would not work correctly. I then plugged that same shaver into one of the other 'step-down' adapters I have used for years (but only rated at 200 w) the shaver worked fine. The problem is the 'step-down' port on this device does NOT filter that voltage. there are 2 other receptacles on the top that do nothing as they only pass thru whatever voltage this unit is plugged into. I will try to return this item and get a refund. Don't buy this item unless you only need to run your hair dryer. I wil look elsewhere for a higher wattage, portable adapter, you should also.

I purchased this for my month away in Europe, J needed something I could use with my hair straightener I read reviews for many converters this was the best I was able to find after hours of research. The outlet with the American flag is the outlet I used for my straightener as directed I did not have one issue with daily use. I am so glad I bought this product! It also charges many items at the same time which was a huge plus for me! The converter itself comes with several adapters to use in different countries, I myself only needed to use two of them. This little gadget will be the first thing packed in my carryon on all my adventures abroad!

Piece of advice for North America folks traveling to 220v countries: check your device, whether it’s a hair straightener, blow dryer, or phone charger. If the device/base/transformer says the device can handle the voltage of your destination country, you don’t need to chance it with a converter (i.e. your straightener says 110v-240v, all you need is a plug adapter for that country - not a converter). I knew better, but we tried the converter plug on this device (despite the warning on the box about electronically switching heating appliances) and it burned up my wife’s straightener. We’ve been abroad for months and have just been using plug adapters because the device handles 110-240v. €45 later we’re back in business but it makes me wonder: what good is the converter plug for if you can’t use it with the devices advertised in the listing? The adapter plugs work fine.

Love this power converter! I was able to use my hair dryer with styling brush throughout England & Scotland (which differ from each other in types of electric wiring). Really well made, and easy to use. Especially like the American flag design on the converter outlet to distinguish it from the regular adapter outlet, so you don’t accidentally plug your hair dryer into the adapter instead of the converter. Item is compact and doesn’t take much packing space - overall great for your trips abroad!

We took this to Aruba to plug our phone and flatiron in. It went together easily and worked well for our electronics. We were very happy with this purchase. Recommend this.

This compact little converter works well as a power strip for chargers and as a converter for electric things that do not generate heat. I plugged in my Revlon hairdryer, which is well within the permitted wattage, and it just sort of groaned. I quickly unplugged it and tried my Stylus (straightener). That worked fine for several days. Then it started to smoke and gave up the ghost.
