Q: my jar arrived with the lid loose and oil all over inside box. Is it safe to use? Is it eligible for replacement?

That's a shame. I have actually started buying my jars though Costo online. Much cheaper (less than1/2 the price) and jars have plastic sealed bands around the top.

Our recommendation is that the product will maintain the freshness and red color in your refrigerator for up to six months from the date that you open the jar. Please make sure that the oil level is above the tomatoes, even if this means adding olive oil to the jar. When you are storing our product in the refrigerator, the olive oil will solidify and may form small round white beads or balls. This is a normal occurrence, prior to using the tomatoes, remove from the refrigerator all to come to room temperature and the olive oil will return to the normal state that you are familiar with. One of my favorite antipasto ingredients!

Delicious! Love the brand! Nice size jar, Bit expensive , but this jar will last!Sundried tomatoes also good diced or chopped on salads, add to Pasta oil & garlic for nice kick. Also add to sausage & peppers while cooking! I get the best comments when I make sausage & peppers this way.

Sun Dried Tomatoes in Olive Oil

Excellent product! Packed in olive oil - these sun dried tomatoes taste (and stay) fresh, they have an abundance of taste, keep their color, smell amazing and have a long shelf life. This is a staple in our kitchen/fridge as it goes great in so many things. Great tasting and good for your health. The price on this has jumped a bit in the last few months, but considering the health benefits and long shelf life, this is a great value for the money.

Excellent Tomatoes

These tomatoes were excellent. They were not overly dried and should last a long time. It seems like there is a good quantity for the price. The seller packaged it well so there was no chance of the bottle breaking in transit. 5-stars.

DO NOT BUY

I read a few of the 1 star reviews but figured that so many good reviews would outweigh those. I was wrong. I just pulled this out of my cupboard for a recipe and there was no seal on the jar. Opening it up and seeing all the tomatoes are rotten and black on top. Who knows how long the seal was broken, but this was just a huge waste of money for us. Also, not returnable which is very disappointing since they are SO expensive. Will not be buying these again.
