Nice Upgrade
Upgraded to a new front fork on my Hyper Explorer and replaced the Walmart grade headset with this FSA headset while I was at it. Definitely a nice headset and big upgrade from what was on there.

QUALITY COMPONENT AT GREAT PRICE! RECOMMEND! (Just definitely confirm your specs match!)
Worked PERFECTLY for my 03 Trek. For me it was fairly easy to install, and even without the relevant special tools, but just be aware that without said specialty tools (technically 3. A tool to remove "cups," a tool to press in the "cups," though can easily make your own with long bolt, wide washers, and a nut, and a tool for seating bearing race on fork), unless you're fairly mechanically inclined and have access to variety of tools, possibly enlist help or take to shop. And use grease/lube to aid in pressing if you do attempt yourself.Great product! GREAT VALUE! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND, if you have 1 1/8" steerer tube, non-tapered, and bearings of relevant size (can't remember the number at present). I wasn't 100% on my steering tube width. As it's older, I feared it was 1". But the bearing sizes matched mine, so went for it assuming my steer tube WAS 1 1/8" and yup, like I said, perfection!

Great Value, Serviceable Headset
I was looking for a very inexpensive headset to use in repairing an office chair and came across this. For my application, it works very well.It appears to be constructed of quality materials, but as should be expected in a headset in this price range there are a few compromises. The upper and lower cups are made of steel with bearing races machined directly into them. This makes the headset rather heavy if that matters, but on the plus side, if you lack a proper bearing cup press you could probably get away with installing the cups by tapping them in with a hammer without damaging them.Sealing against the elements is kind of so-so. For me it doesn't matter because I'm using it indoors, but It would probably be a good idea to rebuild it fairly regularly if used in a harsher environment. My only real complaint is that the bearing races are painted. The paint will quickly wear off in service, so the headset will need to be readjusted after a few rides. Really not a big deal though.I give it three stars as a headset, but five stars for value.

know what size tube I.D. if you're going to buy any headset. Other than that they work great!
Since I had a hard time finding a headset for the particular bike I was building, I chose the Full Speed Ahead kit because the dimensions, we're very close to I actually needed#. The end caps, had to be machined, to remove a slight amount of material, from the OD of the end that goes into the frame. This was a very slight inconvenience for me, however once I got the parts back from the machine shop, they went in perfectly! And they function perfectly! High quality headset from Full Speed Ahead. Quality merchandise at a reasonable price, I just wish there were more stickers with their logo in the Box!

Can't Beat the Hammer at this Price (Pun Intended)!
Steel is real! I have a 1998 Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo project bike. I originally purchased an FSA Orbit MX alloy/sealed bearing headset because it was lightweight and a good price (and it came in blue!). But, oh man did I have problems with that thing! It simply would not adjust properly. Long story short: lightweight alloy parts and sealed bearings aren't always the better product! So, I purchased this old school FSA Hammer to replace the alloy Orbit MX. Wow! What a difference! I had no issues whatsoever putting this headset on. The Hammer headset has beefy steel cups and a super durable steel lower fork crown race. I suspect my original problem was the flimsy alloy race that came with the Orbit MX headset. Problem solved and I'm happy. BTW, my headset did not come with the "Hammer" logo, just one "FSA" logo on the lower cup. No biggie.

FSA appears to care about its customers.
Comes with paperwork which I greatly appreciate. I hate it when things like this, bike parts in particular tell you to look up stuff online. I am old-fashioned and want a piece of paper to hold in my hand and use when assembling something. Haven't used this product as of yet but my first impression with the paperwork is a very good start. I have other FSA products so I am confident this will work fine. Have a nice day.

It's cheap
At first seems to be high quality, but once on the bike, different story.Poor tolerances led to lots of rattling and stem / fork continuously loosening up, especially after aggressive breaking.Replaced it for a Cane Creek headset, and all issues disappeared. Spend a little more, do not waste your money.
