Quiet and powerful!

I have one of these running a 300 gallon reef tank for the last 28 years. Yes, 28 years. 24 hours a day lifting the water up one story from the basement fish room. I would buy nothing else.

Best external pump type going: cast metal impeller, ok in saltwater tanks: mine has run for seven years 24/7/364, no issues but one: a small snail found its way in and managed to stick in the only place it could possibly get to cause trouble, in the dimple in the impeller cylinder. Cure: unscrew screws, remove snail, replace screws. Pump is fine. The 100 serves a 100 gallon tank quite well. It is, however, extremely noisy. Best used in a basement sump situation, with the tank upstairs.
