Neat pedal. Amazing when combined with a fuzz pedal!
This was the cheapest acoustic modeler I could find. I didn't expect that it would make my electric guitar run through an amp actually sound like an acoustic guitar. The only thing that will make a guitar sound like an acoustic guitar is an acoustic guitar, plain and simple. But these pedals do produce a unique sound. The pedal tries to sound like an acoustic guitar and does a fair job at it, but if you really want an acousic sound, you just have to get an acoustic guitar. Like I said, the sound this pedal makes does do a good job of trying to sound acoustic and succeeds in coming up with a neat "woody" sound. In combination with other pedals, it can make some pretty fantastic sounds. I've mixed it with an octave pedal, chorus, phaser, etc. and they all sound really cool. The absolute best combo though was the Joyo JF-323 with my red Fuzzface. I was always a bit disappointed with the Fuzzface. It neveer really sounded "fuzzy" enough, like the fuzz pedals of the 60s, it mainly just sounded like a typical distortion pedal. But using the Fuzzface in combination with the Joyo acoustic modeler makes the Fuzzface totally come to life and sound exactly like I'd always wanted it to. The two pedals in conjunction make the best fuzz pedal sound I've ever heard in person, which is why I give this pedal a five star rating. By itself, it's pretty cool, I'd probably have given it 3 or 4 stars, but using it with other pedals, especially the Fuzz, makes it an invaluable addition to my pedal board. If you have a pedal board, I would highly suggest adding this little guy to it. You'll have a blast mixing and matching it with your various other pedals and will no doubt come up with some cool sounding stuff!

Helpful pedal to have for gigging
This pedal sounds just fine as an acoustic simulator. Even on a Marshall, (clean channel). If you set the tone right, it does pretty well. The main reason I got it was so I wouldn't have to gig with my acoustic. Weather damage, feedback etc. This makes it easy for me to play an acoustic set with differently tuned electric guitars without having to retune my acoustic either. Just makes packing easier too. Not to mention this tiny thing squeezes nicely on the pedal board without having to play tetris to make room for it. They even provide a "hook side" pre fit piece of velcro you can put on the back for your pedalboard. I place it right after my tuner on the board before distortion. Tried it on the effect loop. Sounded fine until I hit distortion. Yikes.

Mine has 60 hum so badly that it is unusable ...
Mine has 60 cycle hum so badly that it is unusable. This occurs with single coils and humbuckers and solid state and tube amps. And NO it isn't coming from the Boss pwr. supply that I use with my other pedals. It IS a "sturdy built" piece of junk though!

Amazing tone!
This pedal is amazing! I get compliments every single show we play over my clean tone sound... I wasn't expecting such great quality for this price range but it is phenomenal. If you need an acoustic simulation pedal.... Look no further. I have tried about 4 different ones ranging from $200 down to this, which was the cheapest I have had... However, it's built like a tank, sounds amazing and saves space on my board. I have three Joyo pedals now and I love them all.... I keep two on my main board and I got another one of these on my small board. I won't play a show without it now!

Has a bad hiss, but I fixed it. OK Acoustic Sound.
First off, you may need to fix the high pitch hiss/buzz. I got rid of it two different ways. When I used a guitar with an active pickup, the hiss mostly disappeared. But this meant that I couldn't use many of my guitars. Then I tried a different power source. (Note: you need to power this pedal with a plug. No batteries can be used.) I purchased the recommended D'Adarrio 9volt, 0.8amp power source. This created the hiss, because when I used my Zoom 9volt, 300mA power source, the hiss was 99% gone. The plug that worked for me is the Zoom AD-0006D. I am not saying that I can precisely describe what a milliamp is, but going from 800mA plug to a to 300mA plug did the trick for me. As for the sound, using my Fender Acoustic200 amp, I could not get a good acoustic tone out of any of my humbucker guitars. And I really tried. The single coils on my strat and tele sound pretty good. Not as good as my Taylor or Takamine acoustics, but better than I expected from an electric guitar. I would describe the tone as useable and acoustic-like.

I like the slim profile so it doesn't clog my board ...
Cheap acoustic sim. 3 stars but for the price it can't be beat. I like the slim profile so it doesn't clog my board as well.

great sound...small footprint
this little box is cool. I plugged it into my old 15 watt combo ( b 10:00 m 11:00 t 2:00 v 1;00) and it sounded great. it really sounds very much like an acoustic, and when my friend played his taylor along side it , they sounded great together.I used a single coil and turned down the volume on the guitar for best results.

フルアコっぽい音が欲しくて購入しました。 それっぽい音が出せて満足です。 僕のにはノイズが乗らなかったので個体差があるようです。

I really like this pedal. I bought it, rather than other brands, based on internet reviews and youtube (they weren't all saying it was the best - but it always seemed to do well at the very least). I can't compare it to any other acoustic simulator pedal as it's the only one I've tried. However for strumming open and bar chords it's great (the reason I bought it - and one of it's strengths over rivals according to several reviews). It really calms everything down with a nice tone. I have used it with humbuckers and open coils, through a Marshall Valve Amp (JTM60) and heavily modified Epiphone Valve Junior with 2 x12 Marshall JTM cab, and it always sounds good. I have found it to be completely noise/hiss free. It is very small but seems well made of metal (plastic dials).

I was looking for a simple acoustic simulator stompbox without all the bells and whistles of, let's say, a Boss AC-3. This little thing delivers plenty. Simple controls, little real estate footprint and entirely noiseless. It will transform the output from a decent single coil axe - stay away from humbuckers, just saying - into a fairly convincing acoustic sound. It also adds some dimension to a cheap acoustic so, win win...
