I love this ink.
I love this ink. I recently bought four different styles of Jinhao fountain pens. These cartridges fit in every one. You'll need to push a bit harder on the cartridge to get it to "pop" and release the ink, but it's not that hard to do. It takes about a minute maximum for the ink to flow through to the nib for you to start writing, but be patient and you won't be disappointed. So far I like the ink and I like the convenience. I think cartridges are a good beginner item to get you into fountain pens. That being said, I have arthritis so don't want to take the chance with an open bottle of ink, so these work perfectly for my situation. I write with my new pens a lot, but don't think I'll write enough to blow through all 25 cartridges in a very short time. It's a smooth ink, not dark black, but black enough. My Jinhao pens don't lay down too much ink at once, so it doesn't take very long for the ink to dry at all. Definitely going to get good value for the small amount of money I paid.

Excellent price and flows well
I purchased these Jinhao ink cartridges to go with my Jinhao fountain pens and was very pleased. It arrived quicker that expected and the ink flows well and is beautifully opaque. What I liked most is that instead of being in one large package the cartridges are packed five to a box which worked out perfectly for gifting. I had purchased the four pen Jinhao fountain pen set to give as gifts. The fact that the cartridges I ordered to go with them came divided up in these great little boxes made a very nice presentation to go with the pens. The ink is a great price and I could not be more pleased. It works beautifully and in all the time I've had it it has not created any clogging problems. I will be ordering this product again and can recommend it. I paid full price for this item and my review was objective and unbiased.

This is good ink, especially for what you're paying
This is good ink, especially for what you're paying. The only thing that can even be moderately complained about is the dry time. It's not horrible by any means, but you want to wait a good three seconds before you do anything with it. And make sure not to drag your hand while you're writing. Other than that, if you do a fair amount of writing you can burn through a cartridge in two or three days. But you're not paying much, so you shouldn't expect to write the bible with one cartridge. And it comes with many, many replacements. It doesn't seem to dry and lock up a fountain pen if it's not used for a couple of days. I will buy this product again once I run low!

Reasonable ink, superb price
I have a large collection of Jinhao pens and these refills fit perfectly in all of them. I prefer using the built-in ink converter that comes in the pens, which draws ink from a bottle. I get my choice of ink that way, both quality and color. However, I really like having a few of these cartridges in my bag because I'm certainly not going to carry a bottle of ink with me for refills when I'm on the go. These are oh so portable and convenient, and the quality of the ink is reasonable. It dries quickly and resists smearing. It's not the blackest black, but it's black enough. And you certainly can't beat the price. Or the convenience.

Works very well in my Pen.
I had been filling my pen from an ink bottle with the reservoir that came with the pen. It worked pretty well but I decided to give the pre-filled cartridges a try like the ones fountain pens they made us use in grammar school. (Remember the ink fights on the white uniform shirts!) The cartridges work very well though you really have to bear down on them to get the pen to pierce the cartridge. Once you hear the "pop" you're good to go. I'm quite pleased with them and the price is amazingly reasonable!

DO NOT BUY!!! Inconsistent ink flow -- severe enough to make writing experience a disaster
I didn't do my research before purchasing fountain pen ink. So basically there are two types of ink -- 1. (carbon) pigment-based and 2. dye-based ink. The pigment-based ink is liquid that contains minute SOLID PARTICLES in them -- as far as I know, black carbon particles -- these are the "color particles" that make the ink looks black. This ink should be a suspension. Quoting Wikipedia, "In chemistry, a suspension is a heterogeneous mixture of a fluid that contains solid particles sufficiently large for sedimentation." It's like sand in water. For this type of ink, it should be supposedly "well-mixed" and the particles should be grained small enough so that the ink should flow consistently. HOWEVER, that isn't the case here. These particles (maybe) are not fine-grained enough and that they could accumulate in the pen and there-hence blocking the ink flow. I've also purchased the JINHAO fountain pen and the writing experience is literally a disaster -- I couldn't finish writing a single word without suffering from the ink flow issue, and I've already throw that pen away. The other type of ink is the "dye ink". The "color particle" are completely dissolved in the water/solvent -- making a solution. This type of ink is usually lighter in color (more "dark grey") rather than "bright deep dark", but theoretically, it just can't block the ink flow -- just like water flowing out of the pen! The Parker Quink, for example, is a dye ink. I've make a purchase of that on Amazon and it is still on the way. I'm looking forward to trying that out. In short, DO NOT BUY THIS INK.

Sveglia coi trasporti.

These are very handy cartridges because they are so slim, and will slip into the most narrow of pens. Obviously this solves a lot of problems, so they are worth having around the place.
