My Grandson loved the walkie talkies and was excited about the binoculars. He is 5 years old. I would buy them again.

*Revised review* The seller contacted me quickly, refunded my original payment and provided a replacement. Very good customer service. Upped the review to three stars and will revise again if my second set performs better over time.The first time we changes the batteries (which was the second time we used it) one of the walkie talkies overheated to the point that you could smell the plastic. Really poor quality and unsafe for small hands. Very disappointed. Outside the return window, so money down the drain.

Good for kids and decent quality

Great low price radios for the kids! Unfortunately designed wrong causing a burn risk! The problem is, the contact spring for the positive side of the battery does not line up with the pad in the circuit board. After a couple drops by the kids the spring wore through the insulation next to the contact pad and connected the positive side of the battery directly to the negative side of the battery. This short circuits the batteries and causes them to get burning hot. I fixed mine by removing the part of the spring that would hang off the contact pad. Now the entire spring contacts the pad. I also put a small bit of insulating tape over the exposed negative on the board.

I ordered for 4 yrs old kid and he loves them.

I liked the binoculars that came with unit. The Walkie Talkies felt unsafe for our grandchild.

Works really well, has a long distance
