Very thoughtful and smart. Loved it.
This is a wonderful book. Well written, easy to read and made me smile more times than I can count. :) Dan uses examples from his own life, that made it more personal, that to me, only shows him to be truly invested in wanting to help you understand his "6 duties" in the book. Truly invested in wanting to reach his readers, and help them. I read the entire book in one sitting. Dan had me so interested in hearing the next "duty" and so engaged, I couldn't put it down until I had finished it.I truly feel I learned alot from this book, and feel everyone else will as well!.This book was a long time coming I think. :) I have always respected Dan Gheesling. One of the MANY, reason's, is because from the start, I have always known he has the heart and voice to motivate and inspire others to be the best they can be. For as long as I have followed him, (5 years), He has motivated me everyday to be the best me I can be and reach for more. This book only continued to prove to me, that Dan Gheesling is an intelligent, thoughtful person, with so very much to contribute, and give to others.I would suggest this book to everyone!.

Really short and concise
Dan talks briefly about some important points and make clear what his opinion is. I would recommend it if you want to read some quick tips that can help you to improve or modify your leadership style.

Benefits all, including the most experienced.
Okay. I've watched enough of Dan Gheesling's performances in BB10 and BB14 to know the gentleman is a complete genius in the reality TV world. Since then, he's shared no small part of that intelligence with people all around the world (through speaking and writing books). When I first stumbled on this book, I took a pause before purchasing the book as I was already an experienced leader (eight years of holding various leadership positions within multiple student organizations). However, I'm glad I went ahead and purchased this book.No matter your level of expertise, there is something in this concise, yet comprehensive book that will get you to reconsider how you go about being a leader. It may be you've omitted a duty (or six!), or that you have done all six, but not necessarily in the correct order. I was pleasantly shocked when I realized I've done some of the legwork in most scenarios I endured (but not all), and that there was room to improve. I highly recommend this book for personal/professional leadership libraries, it's a great tool in and of itself, and a excellent bridge to other established books as well.

Wowed by the content!
A must read! This book can be read in an afternoon but it’s packed full of practical skills! I was constantly wowed by the content (looking at you page 18, 21, 23, 32, 43, 45 - and more!). Written for everyone. The author has a natural style, and presents a guide that you can instantly implement no matter where you are in your life path. Definitely worth the purchase and my time!

Written for the Reader.
This book is very much directed to the reader. That fact alone is what makes a great self help book and makes this book great. I appreciated that the book wasn't simply a book of questions or a book of answers, it was all that and more. What it was is straight forward and an easily followed well laid out path. You could take this book and apply that path regardless of the application someone needed it for in their life. As I was reading the book I realized that everything I read could help me in so many aspects of life It didn't box you in.I applaud the fact that Dan managed to capture the art of giving advice that you'll want to apply without demanding you do it in only the way he wants it applied to your life as if we were all made of cookie cutters. The book also felt as if the questions posed throughout the book were not rhetorical unanswerable questions. These questions were more tasks that I wanted to take on and think on before I moved on to the next chapter and yet I couldn't wait to read the next chapter. The only Con I find in the book are the sheer amount of pop cultural references. It made me feel as if the book would become dated. I also worry that if I share the book with my teenage niece that to many of the references will go over her head. The author is a good enough writer that he could have made the book one that didn't rely so strongly on the referrals. That said I would highly recommend this book regardless of the application you want to use it towards. It's written in such a way I left it believing I could make the changes and would get a benefit from what it had to offer. This is not a book that will drift out of my mind and it's lessons forgotten. This is a book that I believe will stick with me and change my life for the positiveI pre-ordered this book and haven't regretted it for one second. I'm grateful I bought it and pleased to have it in my library.

Dan has a bright future
My favorite section of the book is when Dan discusses how jealousy and other negative influences can affect a group dynamic. There were a lot of points that hit home as I work in a sometimes hostile, always hectic environment. Also the book made me think a little deeper on group dynamics and communication.Dan is a positive role model for young people and has a very promising future in communications. He frequently hosts live web-casts with legions of supporters who are attracted to his positive 'get up and go' attitude and sense of humor. He is a leader and certainly has an understanding of the human psyche. Winning Big Brother once, and placing one other time is testament to his qualification on the subject matter of his book.
