Crap
UPDATED: see below for update Waste of money. I got one of these and the ultra thin wire that's thinner than a hair that's soldered to the mounting plate snapped off within a minute. Sent it back for a refund. Stupidly ordered another and just got it. Being super careful about that wire, removing from the packaging and setting it down was too much for the wire to handle. It broke off just like the first one. And it breaks off inside the housing of the pickup. So even if I tried to solder it back to the hair-thin wire I'm unable to find the other end. So after eating shipping costs on the first one and now this I'm out the cost of the pickup and can't even use it. Save yourself the waste of money and time and get some other pickup, because this is a joke. UPDATE: so I feel a bit embarrassed. But this was the first time working with Tele pickups, Strat pickups don't have that little wire. All that the wire that broke off does is ground the plate at the bottom of the pickup. So in case it does break, or isn't even there and you didn't realize it...all that it takes is a minute to fix. Just solder a jumper wire from the plate to the ground wire where it attaches to the pickup and you're all set! So I'm changing my rating from 1 star to 5. You can't beat this price, and it sounds pretty good! And Musiclily is one of the best as far as customer service.

Poor quality control
The metal plate on the bottom of the pickup was glued on so far off center that you couldn't screw the pickup to the bridge plate. I inserted a photo taken straight down-I mean it's not even close. I guess you really do get what you pay for which in this case is poor quality control. So I have to waste more time packaging this back up and shipping for a return and I still don't have a replacement pickup. Hope this helps someone else...

Cost-saving but gets the job done
OK generally you get what you pay for and this is no real exception. The pickup came wrapped in bubble wrap and put into a small sealed plastic bag. A guitar pick and some screws and springs for mounting came with it. The lead wire is thin as you might expect. And the tape wrapped around the winds looks like common rubbery black electrical tape. So yes it feels cheap. The bottom plate (which is gold colored) is only attached by one wire that is soldered to it, and kind of held to the bottom by the magnet. When you mount the pickup, the pickup mounting screws need to go down into this gold piece. They go through the bridge, down into the black plastic flange of the pickup, through the springs or the guitar's stock latex washers/tubes, and through this gold piece. Lining this all up when the gold piece is shifting around is a pain in the neck. Once I installed the pickup and plugged everything back in, it actually sounds better than the stock pickup. The tone knob works well with the pickup and a range of sounds are available. For those that care, I measured the resistance at 6.1. On sound alone it would actually get a four or five star from me. The construction quality docks it down to three though.

Bang for your buck pickup.
Proper Tele bridge tone. Bright, not brittle or microphonic.

Nice pickup, especiall for the price.
Tested on VM, perfect as listed. Looking forward to placing this on the guitar I'm restoring. I'd buy it again; probably will if it sounds good on the guitar.

Spend the extra couple bucks
The screw holes for the pickup settings were too small and misaligned. There was not enough room to drill new holes to correct. Returned.

Install was simple there is an extra screw on plate on the pickup like a fake brass plate
Installed on Squire telecaster and a beginner at installing ... Install was simple there is an extra screw on plate on the pickup like a fake brass plate. I though it was odd but it adds a little weight so it was a nice little extra i dont think it adds any thing to the sound. I added a dimarzio single where the lipstick was and this pick up complements its very well. Has a nice muddy tone. For $10 and if you a beginner at moding and installing this is perfect, cheap, and sounds 👍.

Ok for a cigar box guitar. Would not recommend for a Telecaster style guitar.

Une grosse daube, les fils sont très mal soudés et sont de trop petit calibre. Ce micro génère un parasitage énorme, juste bon pour la poubelle. N'achetez pas
