Beautiful complement to the shell
I bought both a shell and complete button set from eXtremeRate. The replacement shell is a perfect fit. Everything snaps together with ease and the screwholes are all drilled properly. Swapping out the shells was not too difficult, but I definitely recommend watching a video on YouTube if it's your first time. The only real difference in quality I notice between the original Nintendo shell and the eXtremeRate shell is that the eXtremeRate back plate has a bit more flex to it. After installing, you can feel a small pocket in the center that bends just a tiny bit when you squeeze, but this is very inconsequential in my opinion. I am still excited to show off my new custom Switch. :) I bought a separate set of replacement buttons because the shell comes with black replacement buttons, and I just didn't think that suited the pink/purple/gold marble design very well. I did have to use a nail file on a few buttons to smooth out the nub that was left when I popped the button out of the manufacturing frame because the nub prevented the buttons from fitting properly, but that was no biggie. After filing, they all fit perfectly. The home button comes in two parts and was kinda fiddly to put together. I ended up supergluing the two pieces together because for whatever reason, the gold button did not want to stay in the opaque casing for it. I love that the set even comes with SL/SR buttons! It's little details like that that make customizing so satisfying. I've bought other eXtremeRate products for various consoles, and they have all been very consistent in quality and fit. I absolutely recommend this brand to anyone who is looking to customize their gaming systems!

Chameleon Purple looks so good
Taking a joy-con apart is no fun. At all. HOWEVER, the chameleon purple with the matte black case (same company) looks so nice on my OLED switch and is well worth the effort. If your buttons seem to not fit or if they stick, make sure you haven’t installed them incorrectly! When done right, the buttons work perfectly but may need a little filing where you remove from the tabbed sheet. If you find a button doesn’t press or if it is loose, you may have forgotten the rubber stoppers from the original joy-con or placed the button in an incorrect position. If a button doesn’t work, ensure you put the ribbon back in the correct position and latched it into place. The hardest part of the installation is going to be the trigger buttons on both sides and the extra parts inside your right joy-con (NFC antenna, the infrared sensor, and antenna) because you’re going to have to detach and re-attach the ribbons. Just have a small pair of tweezers on hand and when you place the L or R triggers, ensure you put pressure on it with the ZL and ZR plate in place or the springs will yeet themselves into space. There are knobs on the triggers where the spring goes. Make sure all springs are in the appropriate place or your triggers won’t… trigger. I also did a complete housing replacement while replacing the buttons, so my joy-cons were an absolute trash heap of circuitry. If something isn’t coming out, it probably is secured by tape. Just pull on it. Except the ribbons. Don’t pull the ribbons. I’m in love with this look! May buy a few more sets for the other joy-cons I have laying around.

Top of the TOP
This company is the top of the top in customizations of gaming components. Quality of products is same or even better than original components, very beautiful items with lot of options to choose from, they provide you full detailed video guide how to install replacements making the process really easy and safe without worrying that you will break anything, they provide you all necessary tools to do replacement yourself and they even provide extra new screws and bolts to make sure everything is put back together with perfect precision.

Nice looking set
These were easy to swap out as I changed joycon shells to their atomic purple set. It comes with all of the buttons except the back release button on the joycon. The SR and SL buttons are included and easy to put in. Just watch their video and pause when you need to, following along. I recommend buying the $8 screwdriver, tweezer, and brush set that's on here as it is much better to worth with than the included tools. I kept all of my original screws and used them as the better screwdrivers didn't strip them. These do come with replacement screws and extras, so now I have plenty. I plan to put the clear atomic purple that came with the joycon and switch body set into another pair of joycons I have. I may buy another set of joycon shells for that. The tiny ribbons were a bit challenging. The right joycon had a very short ribbon cable that they had demonstrated to screw on the middle shell first and then plug the ribbon in under, but that was impossible on mine, their cable had to be much longer. I simply plugged the cable in, and then placed the middle shell on, laid the button receiver on it and put the one screw in it then. much easier than doing it their shown way either way honestly. The ribbon cables are the only thing that stressed me out a little, I was nervous I would mess them up. Just be patient and you'll get it done. Mine work perfectly and look much better than before.

Amazing buttons
These buttons are absolutely stunning! I've been waiting quite some time for there to be high quality joycon button replacements to surface on the market and the time has finally come. The buttons are very smooth and feel amazing. Everything fits perfectly and the paint is very glossy and pretty! These pictures do not do it justice. My only gripe (and the reason I marked down a star) is that the triwing screwdriver that came with this product was a bit off or it was too small and caused one of my screws to strip. Therefore I was unable to take apart my left joycon and do the replacement for that side. I will most likely have to buy new joycons in order to utilize other half of the buttons in this kit. Aside from that though, the product itself is absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who's brave enough to tear apart their joycons. It's definitely worth it! Edit: After about three months now, I can still confidently say that these buttons and joycon shells are worth the money. I've completed my full replacement (refer to newer pictures) and am very glad that I opted for this brand over the other competitors. That being said though, I have also encountered another issue; the shells tend to stain very easily. I highly recommend getting a slim transparent case in order to preserve the quality of the material all the while still displaying its beauty. That or be extremely careful to not dirty your switch because these stains do not come off even with water/alcohol. Overall, I'm still happy about these products but in order to keep everything nice and pristine, you really have to take care of your switch.

Just what I expected, sadly and good
They look and feel as I expect. Cheap, but good enough to not be bad, they look AWESOME, but the paint is peeling after a couple of months. Since the letters have texture, they bend a little (barely noticeable by touch), but it damages the paint. I would probably build another pack next year and try using a varnish to make it last longer if I figure out if it will help. (But idk haven't use anything like that never) Overall, wort the price, but dont use the Z buttons, I would bet that the paint of it would fall out with the minimal scratch

Fits good and looks great.
The buttons were fairly easy to install and fit great for all those with concerns regarding quality. I've been using them for a few months now and there's no sign of wear on any of the button surfaces. I was a bit concerned about the instillation after hearing of others having issues but i found the process to be pretty simple. I found the triggers and shoulder buttons to be the hardest part so install as they require a bit of force to remove the old and install the new. Everything else popped in and out pretty easy. I decided to purchase of the iFixit Mako driver kit for taking out screws after hearing of some people stripping theirs. I had no stripped heads when taking my controllers apart using that kit. My only caution is to avoid over tightening the body screws when everything is complete as i found that some buttons wouldn't work until i went back and loosened a few up.

Glossy shiny appearance is just cheap paint.
As a disclaimer, I'd just like to let you know that the task of replacing the buttons is NOT EASY. In particular is the ZR and ZL triggers, you could very easily have a spring go flying off, with the number of different things you have to do simultaneously. I bought the chrome gold button kit for my joycons, and for a couple months I really enjoyed the look. But after that, the paint started flaking off, revealing garish white plastic underneath. I kind of suspected that would happen, but not so soon. What's worse, most of my play time is with a pro controller anyway- one which also has chrome gold for the replacement housing. Those parts came from the same company! Just kinda frustrating.
