I practice hot yoga and I was previously using a 20 year old cheap mat with a yogitoes anti-slip mat on top. The combo worked well, but the bottom mat got so stinky, my husband finally told me to get rid of it. I would agree with other reviews that it is on the heavier side, but if you're just walking from car to studio, it's not a big deal. I sweat A LOT and so far this mat has worked really well. I don't have a problem slipping and it's very soft and cushy. I do lay it out after practice to dry and it seems to dry quickly and so far no smell, but I've only used a couple of times. I have sprayed a natural Norwex cleaning spray with enzymes on it after to hopefully help with any bacteria or funk. Added bonus is the circle up top that helps with centering and alignment. It's not the cheapest mat, but less than many of the other high end mats.

Was worried about the reviews where people said they slipped when it was dry. I’m not the strongest nor most flexible yogi, so worried I would slip too, but I sweat, so hoped that would keep me in place...and why I need this mat. I was so excited to use it when it arrived today, even though my routine this afternoon was “expand”, so lots of standing poses and no sweat, however I did not slip a bit. It’s heavy, solid rubber, but the top is so luxuriously soft. The cushioning rubber as well as fabric top cradled my feet. Wonderful experience. It smells of a bit of rubber when your face is directly on it (prepping for lotus pose) but that will release with time. Can’t wait to do the energetic stuff that makes me sweat (and slip and slide on a regular mat). I highly recommend this mat, oh, and it’s beautiful to look at too.

I really like this mat for power and hot yoga. I sweat a great deal during my practice and even high-end rubber mats, like Manduka or Jade, did not always work well for me. I have also used similar "composite" mats with microfiber terry cloth, but they tend to soak up a lot of sweat, get sloppy and tend to smell over time, even if you wash them. This mat provides great grip and cleans up well. Before practice I spritz some water or mat cleaner on it to improve the grip. So far, I am quite happy with the mat's quality, its look and its value. I'm looking forward to using it during RYT training this spring.

love this mat! does not slip on any floor surface. It does however need a bit or water/moisture from your hands (like hot yoga) to make the top surface not slip! I wet a towel then rub across the mat about where my hands and feet go, and then I am good not to slip on the microfiber layer. It is a beautiful design. It is slightly heavier than other mats, but Im ok with that. It also had a faint smell when I first opened. but it went away with a few light sprays of water/tea tree oil. I have used this mat 5 days a week for 2 months and I really enjoy it.

LOVE this mat!!! It is beautiful and soft, but not slippery. I don't feel that the pictures for advertising do it justice. Its density is very comfortable for both myself (130lb) advanced yogi, and my 225 lb new yogi husband. It definitely holds up great for hot yoga as well as a relaxing comfortable flow. If you do slip when it's dry, a small spritz of water will help the grip. I'm VERY happy with my purchase and highly recommend it. It's quite heavy and lays out perfectly so it may not be ideal for everyday traveling depending on personal preference but for me, it's absolutely worth it :)

I've been looking for a non slip grip mat for a bit and have been reading reviews on different yoga mats for about 2 months. I finally decided on this one based upon the reviews. The first time I practiced on it, I couldn't hold a steady grip for more than one second. It is INCREDIBLY slippery. I sprayed some water on it and also on my hands and that worked beautifully to maintain grip, however it lasted for about 5 seconds and I went back to slipping. The padding of the mat is nice. It's not too thick, nor is it too thin. It's very comfortable, especially if practicing poses in your back. The length of the mat is great - I'm 5'7" and I have plenty of room to stretch without my limbs hanging off the edge of the mat. The colors and pattern are exactly as shown. The reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because having a good grip is incredibly important to me. If I'm slipping and can't hold a proper pose, there is potential for injury. While this mat is beautiful and comfortable, it is not functional. I'm going to continue to use this mat in hopes that the grip gets stronger with use and improves over time. However, if it doesn't improve I will have to return it.

I have to say that I am extremely happy and impressed with the INEYT EcoFuse Yoga mat! I was a bit concerned at first at the cost compared to others, but I am more than happy to report this mat is worth it ! Very well made, sturdy and looks great too. IF this quality of mat is any indication of the type of and quality of products sold by INEYT, I will DEFINITELY continue being a customer.

Oh this is a very nice mat if you like them thick and comfy. I love it is eco friendly and does not emit an odor. The top is a very cushy but grippy microfiber. Way nicer than the Lululemon ones. If you didn't want one as thick you might not like it, and it is heavy so not a good light travel mat. But I have a light travel already.
