Introverted cats dream
My friend drew my cats name in a gift exchange for Christmas and got this. I have a sweet little Persian and she is very scared in general, she loves her little cabin. She sleeps in it all day. She sleeps in it so much that I had to move it on to my bed just to be able to sleep with her and spend time with her. When she is in there she is happy and feels safe. She's always purring the loudest when she's in her lil cabin. I bought her a fancy cat bed in place of the cabin and put it on the bed and the cabin in the closet. I couldn't find her so I went to look and sure enough she snuck into her cabin in the closet! Lol!!!! Like I said- she's always been a very scared little baby and having this cabin really helped her to grow closer to me. She now follows me around and is more calm cause she has a safe place to go. She loves the little holes in the back and it's so funny to see her little fluffy arm sticking out of them when we play. If I ever had to buy another one and they were $500 I'd still have to buy it because she's seriously not happy any other way. This seems so simple but it really is so much more than a box. You will not regret this purchase once you see how much your introvert cat loves it. Give it a few weeks. My extrovert cat won't even touch it but like I said- my sweet shy baby is CRAZY about it. She's sleeping in it right now!

Loyal Luxe Canadian Cabin
I gave this cardboard cat cabin four starts based on the fact that it was easy to assemble and looks nice, but our cat has no interest in it.(Not really the fault of the product, he can be very picky when it comes to toys) We have only seen him go in it a handful of times since we gave it to him in December, and he was only it for a few minutes at a time. He did the same thing with an expensive cat tree before though too, and then after months of ignoring it, he finally started using it. I'm hoping the same will happen with the cabin... It's a decent size for small or medium sized cats. I would not recommend it for a larger cat though. I also gave it four stars, rather than five, because $25 is a bit high for what is basically a cardboard box.

So cute and cat loves it!
My shy cat loves hiding inside her (hideous) cat carrier. Since I couldn't handle it being part of my living room decor, I bought the Loyal Luxe Cabin hoping she'd like it just as much. It is absolutely adorable and comes with a few different choices of decorations for over the 'door.' The assembly was very easy (no tools required) and it seems quite roomy inside. The only thing that seems a bit odd is the door hole is on the smaller side. My cat is around 9 lbs and she has to squeeze her way in a little bit. A bigger cat might have some trouble.

Poor quality. Too small
Poor quality. Too small. Way overpriced. I purchased this product two years ago for my sister's cat. She loved it so much that I bought it again (or so I thought}. It was entirely the same look but much smaller and much lower quality cardboard. The cat is very large so she barely fits into this house. I ended up bringing it home and it's in my garage ready for the trash. It was almost $40.00 so I expected quality.

It's like a cardboard box but cooler
Alright, let's be honest here (and I'm not speaking directly to other reviewers or anything I swear), you could easily order yourself something -- ANYTHING -- from Amazon and give your cat the box it came in and the cat would be happy. The reason you would buy the Canadian Cat Cabin is FOR YOURSELF. Because it is cool. Because it's a conversation piece. Because it's better than your 15 pound cat stuffing himself into a 5 pound Amazon box.If there is really someone out there willing to spend $40 on a fancy cardboard box for their cat who is disappointed when their cat doesn't use it, I sort of feel bad for you. Like I said, you can get boxes for FREE, everywhere! Now, let's talk about my house. I purchased this back when I had a "normal" number of cats, after almost two years and a revolving door of foster cats, this thing has held up. I have no idea where the interchangeable pieces that go on the front are but who cares?Let's talk details, shall we?Pros:super easy to assembledurable*attractive to catsfits larger cats unlike some commercial "cardboard" novelty items at pet storesawesome lookingCons:the * in "durable" above is because I found fortifying it with duct tape to be best. It's still solid but tape helps if you, like me, have cats who fly across the room for no reason and then leap into the nearest Canadian Cat Cabin like a crack addict running from the policethe scratcher "rug" it comes with doesn't last longAll in all, I'm happy with it and the cats are happy with it. The small holes in the back are nice for the cats to play "GET OUT OF MY FACE OR I WILL CUT YOU" with each other without it getting too hostile.I would not hesitate to purchase again IF I had a functioning time machine and could go back to talk to myself the day I bought this however, as a cat lady, I like to keep things interesting with "new" stuff so therefore will probably not replace this item with a new one after my cats have chewed it all to pieces. I imagine when all's said and done, we'll have gotten a good four years out of this thing based on how well it's held up so far.

Basically a cardboard box
A cardboard box with a hole cut in it should not cost $25.00. The "log cabin" look portrayed in the picture is actually only on the front where the hole is. Plain carboard everywhere else! My cat would only go in it once I bought a cushion for it and now rarely uses it. Not enought openings for a pet to look out. The size is good but that is about it.
