Perfect Square, Perfect!
Great children’s book for young artists! Creativity will be sparked by the illustrations showing all the ways a square can be transformed into works of art.

Creativity personified!
I love this book. Hall has created a masterpiece with this one. Everything about the book works beautifully. The story and theme about dealing with the challenges that life can throw at you is spot on. The design of the book suits the story to a tee. The way the colors compliment each other and the creative illustrations add so much to the appeal of the book. Often one doesn't find a lot of character growth in a picture book, the story is often too short, especially if the characters aren't human. But here the square does grow and realize that change and challenge can bring joy. I highly, highly recommend this book. My students also really enjoyed the book. This could lead to some great art activities as well as a great read-a-loud.

Clever idea for a story!
Very clever idea. For a little older kids. Spacial concepts and creative language are delightful. A little early for my great nephew but soon. Love the author

Don't forget the art supplies
The book took a square and explored possibilities. Cutting. Wrinkling. Rearranging. Adding.A young child's exploration of theme and variation. For a very young child someone who knows how to use scissors is needed.Along with the book supplies were included with a pencil box to hold. 12" square scrapbook printed paper found at Wal-Mart. Blunt tipped scissors. Scalloped cutting scissors. Hole punch. The children are not quite old enough for the projects in the book. They did enjoy having it read to them.

Fun and aducational!
My daughter loved this book, which i first got from the library. Had to buy it fir her. It's a nice story about reinventing self and gives kids a positive outlook in face of adversity. It's subtle and unassuming.

Visually appealing and a great tie between math and literature
I've used this book as a math lesson with primary students to teach positive attitude and decomposition of shapes. When finished reading the book I will hand each student a square of colorful scrap-booking paper to use to decompose and create a story, scene, or picture.

Happy customer!
Packaged nicely and in great condition. My daughter has been begging for her own “square book” after renting this from our library. So happy I was able to find it at an affordable price and it came before Christmas!
