Columbia 300 Freeze Hybrid Bowling Ball

has been the best ball i have thrown in a while, definitely a head turner. i have arthritis in my left hand probably due to 30+ years of bowling and demolition work and i must say that i am surprised what i can do with this 10 pound ball(wanted 11 but was sent 10.8). this ball at least for me hits hard, i avg about 190-200 usually and this ball has actually increased my avg to over 200 easily, i think i leave more solid 8 pins(im a lefty) than before, the one drawback though is that at the low weight i leave a lot of taps i shot a series of 258-206-277 with most leaves being 7 or 8 pins, though the last game was a fluke since i had about 12 beers by the time the 3rd game came along. i wish i could throw at least a 13 or 14 lb of this ball it hits hard, people dont believe when i tell them its only 10 lbs and actually have to pick it up from the rack itself, lol. i cant say it will be the same for everyone but it was perfect for me at least until my knee went bad and had to switch to right handed. for $50 used and undrilled it was a steal since i placed 2nd in one tournament and won 6 pots in 3 weeks with it.

This is a fantastic ball. It isn't the most powerful hitting the pins, though it is strong. /I would say the most positive aspect of this ball is its consistancy on most oil patterns. The Freeze will hook the same same way, at least for me, from the beginning of the night on fresh oil until the end of the night when the lane is much too dry for my other balls.

I went down in weight from a 14 lb to a 13 lb ball. It took me a few weeks to get used to the movement of this ball, but I really like it. I never threw a severe hook so I like the gentle movement this one has at the tail end. It's a pretty ball too. I bought it on line and had my local pro-shop drill it for me. I am happy with this purchase. I am a 67 year old league bowler with a 165 average.

This is a good value and has worked as well or better than expected. I would buy it again. It is a shame, however, how today's technology is so far behind yesterdays technology in terms of maintenance; I keep my beloved rubber ball for the ten pin and it does not need any maintenance other than wiping off oil spots. The resins are a half time job to maintain.

I can throw a house ball straight as an arrow down the lane but this ball never fails to hook, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your play style. Either way I've learned to hook properly using this ball and am now moving on to another ball made specifically for my play style.

I don't usually leave a review, but I needed to say tsomething about this ball. I bowled with it today for the first time and wow, I bowled my first 200 game. I've been close, but always fell short. I have better control with this ball when bowling. I can see now that my average will improve. Highly recommended this to anyone who is looking for a great conrol ball. This is a great straight shot ball.

I'm still just a novice bowler but I wanted a heavier ball than what I'd been bowling with. Had it drilled but have not had much of a chance to practice with it. Only played 2 games. Need to get use to it and hopefully master some techniques. It arrived quickly. I'm happy with it so far

Just recently got into bowling and fell in love with the game but was sick of never finding balls with holes big enough for my fingers so I decided to buy a ball. I also recently learned how to hook the ball and I can say this ball really is meant for hook shots. Even if you roll it straight it hooks. Love it.
