BQ300 Barbecue Thermometer, 3 inch Aluminum Zoned dial, 4 inch stem, 100/500 Degrees F

I recently purchased a large offset smoker and it did not come with built-in temperature gauges but fortunately they welded in the female threaded fittings. I saw quite a few YouTube videos about picking the right thermometer and virtually all of them pointed to the tel-tru. My opinion is consistent with what I saw in the videos - the product is of very high quality. The materials are thick metal and it is a very heavy device. To test the accuracy, I used my thermoworks signals for the ambient temperature in the smoker and the tel-tru was very consistent with the thermoworks. I was very impressed with the speed at which the reading changed as most of these type of thermometers are very slow to adjust. I highly recommend as it is worth every bit of the cost.

Best gauge out there! I've ordered at least 10 of these and only had one act up. Amazon sent me a replacement that showed up the next day.

Purchased both the 4" and 2.5" stem approximately six months ago for my trailered barbecue pit. The build quality is excellent, and it doesn't hurt that they are manufactured in the United States (Rochester, NY). Over the last few years, I have purchased a good number of cheaper ($15-$20) thermometers, which are, A. not accurate, and B. become unusable after a few months. So far, this thermometers are still dead-on, and working great. The construction of the thermometers is excellent. They are very sturdy, and have stood up quite well to a lot of abuse over the last six months. If you made a significant investment in your pit, these will more than pay for themselves in longevity and functionality.

The best thermometers out there. A bit pricey, but they are accurate. Like everyone else's gripe, there is no mounting hardware included. The separate purchase is quite pricey for just a nut an bolt, especially if you have to get two of them. However, I hunted and hunted for something that would fit and couldn't find anything that would in the regular fastener section. So perhaps if you want complete ease of use, buy them and be done. I did, however, find something that works. I used a conduit locknut. I can't remember the exact size, take the therm with you and match it up. As for a washer, I couldn't find one that was large enough that also has a big enough hole for the therm to fit through, so I bought a few large washers, I think 1" and drilled the hole out. I did the same with 2 rubber washers. Hope this helps anyone looking for a mounting solution. In the picture you can see the conduit locknut, metal washer, then rubber washer.

It’s a Tel tru, what do you expect? It works great and is super accurate. Minus one star for having to buy the nut separately for a high price.

Added this to my recent smoker/grill Masterbuilt 1050. The original has no temperature markings. I tested this against a digital probe and was within a couple of degrees. Good enough for me.

Accurate right out of the box, looks awesome and American made. Buy American, hire American.

Tel-tru makes some of the best instruments for purpose and this is no exception. Accurate, easily read and good looking. I replace every temperature guage on my cooking equipment with Tel-tru!

Great product, and these are well built and they work... and nice to support something built in the USA if that matters....

I wish I would of went with the glow in the dark. But either way tel-trus are my favorites n best on the market
