There have been many documented problems with both the OEM charger for the surface as well as many after market chargers. A "gounding" problem will make the touch pad on the surface keyboard inoperable quite oftern. If you unplug the charger, the touch pad will work in 10-15 seconds, but when you plug back it, you may experience the problem in 2-3 minutes again. With this charger, this does not happen at all. I have worked on it for 8 hours straight for a few days in a row without a single touchpad hang. I bought a second one because it is so good. One is in my "road warrior" binder that has every charger and adapter I need when on the road, and one for my outside patio when I work from home. If I am in my office or my home office, I am always using a mouse which has no problems at all, but this solves all problems when on the road or my patio. I wholely recommend!!!!!

I have had my Surface Book 2 for four years and had gone through three chargers before picking up this wall charger. This charger has lasted longer than the previous three combined, and when the cord started to wear out, BatPower had a replacement cord available on their Amazon store to extend the lifetime further. The USB ports on the charger make this convenient for travel as well, as I have been able to charge all of my devices by plugging them into the module. Great value, and has worked out very well for me.

I bought it for use with my Surface Laptop Studio 2. Even though it is rated for 120W, the laptop still says that it is underpowered and to use the original charger for the quickest charge. I'm not sure if it takes longer or not, but I'm OK with the time it takes.

I originally thought this was a power bank, but it is not.However, it comes with cords for the surface, a usb type c, and another universal cord. If the wall cord goes out, it is easily replaceable because of the way it is constructed. The surface charger portion is very premium feeling and is actually more heavy duty than the actual Microsoft charger. This cord is wayyy longer too, and I can sit and have all my devices charging at once. The charging capability is very quick too.If this product wasn't as good as it is, i would have sent it back when I found out it wasn't a power bank. But I do like it and will keep it. Another plus is that this company sells the individual components if you did need a replacement of one of the components.

More portable, longer cord and an additional port than the stock charger. I was concerned about the form factor and that it appeared to small to be a 102W charger but I've been using for about 6 months as my travel charger and no issues. Will update if it fails.

I always read some of the negative reviews for any electronic/computer purchase - even though they were in the minority I was worried about the complaints about this slim power supply re overheating, durability, and quality. But the thin profile was something I really wanted, I have a sleeve I use for my Surface Book and there is a side pocket. The original brick charger didn't fit. I decided to take a chance.So glad I did! This is perfect and its fit is all I hoped for and more.Feedback - First, the quality and durability. This feels solid, strong, and it does not feel cheap.But the big complaints were about heat. While I intended this for travel I have been using it as my primary power supply for 8+ hours every day since it arrived and it runs much cooler than the OE supply. I think this has to have been improved in answer to the previous reported issues.I held off posting this to give some time for problems to show up but so far I think this is excellent.

The charger charges my Surface Book noticeably faster than the charger that came with it. And the book doesn't drain the battery under a stressful load like it used to. I like that both cables are longer than the factory ones, how they both can be replaced without throwing away the charger, and that the vinyl coating on the laptop cable is much thicker than that on the factory charger.How long the charger will live remains to be seen.

I wanted to like this charger. It has everything you can ask for - a standalone battery pack (if your dog chews one of the cords, you only need to replace that one part of the system), the DC cord is 6ft long and the AC cord is 5ft long, it has two USB ports to charge external devices, it's fast charging, you can buy additional adapters for car and plane, and it comes with an 18-month warranty. If that doesn't want to make you buy it, I don't know what would. However, the problem I'm having is that I just purchased this battery in mid-December, and it is bulging and overheating. It could've potentially caused a fire in my daughter's room!I contacted Amazon, and they were wonderful! I told them what the issue was, and they tried to contact the seller on my behalf. When they couldn't reach them, they gave me a number to call, and it rang until the call was disconnected. I let them know the situation, and because neither of us could get in contact with the seller, Amazon arranged to send a brand new battery in exchange for the messed up one. Amazon is the best!I will update my review once I receive the new charger and use it for a while.Update: 12/18/2021Well, the 2nd one lasted longer than 2 months. The same thing happened as the 1st one. This time, the battery pack looks worse than the original one. It kept on overheating (according to my daughter) and the final time it overheated, the plastic warped so badly I thought a fire would happen. Luckily, it didn't but I took the charger from my daughter and am now trying to find another solution.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CHARGER DUE TO IT BEING A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD!
