Kast King Sol Armis
Pro’s Color - I currently own Ambush, Blackout, Silver Mist, Shoreline and MP (multi-purpose) and I absolutely love the vibrant shades in each shield. If you look close enough you’ll find there is anywhere between 3 to 4 variations of each color (EX: Shoreline color has dashes of royal blue, baby blue, sky blue and a hint of aqua) and they are bright and vivid. Pattern - The Prym 1 pattern is as primitive as it is sleek and stylish; the stealthy design gives it a sense of a never ending texture. And it’s uniqueness will definitely set you apart from the rest of the pack in the water. I absolutely dig it! Construction - The 90% polyester 10% spandex combination is a winner; especially if you’re fishing deep South Texas like I am (Lower Laguna Madre - Port Mansfield, Port Isabel, South Padre Island) where the humidity index is off the charts. It is breathable, lightweight, stretchy and extremely comfortable. After sometime you’ll forget you’re wearing it, that’s a great sign of comfort. The seams are stitched flawlessly and don’t scratch or itch over the face, keeping you focused on the task at hand. Price - I was surprised at the price point for such a high quality material face shield, purchased mine at $10.99. That’s anywhere between $5.00 - $9.00 dollars less than the competitors. Another win in my book! And lastly, the packaging is on point with modern day trend. Well done, Kast King! Cons - My only complaint is Kast King not having Firestorm as one of their Sol Armis colors to choose from, it’s such a sick shade. Hopefully soon! I’ll snag me a few when they do so haha! This is a great product for all intents and purposes so go grab a few and fish on! #yellowmouthfishing

Very comfortable and cool!
I work as a site inspector doing damage assessments for various buildings and parks damaged by hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. After many months of working under the Caribbean sun and heat I noticed I was getting sunburns on my neck and face. Using sunblock lotion was not enough because I still felt the heat on the back of my neck. I decided to get this gaiter to protect my neck and face from the heat and harmful UV rays without having to use sunblock all the time. What caught my attention of this particular gaiter was the color, patterns and the fact that is has a UPS 50 rating. After using this gaiter for a month I can say that it is of very high quality and works as intended. It feels very light and smooth on the face so it doesn't bother me when I'm on the field doing damage assessment. It stretches very well and is big enough to cover my whole head and neck if I wanted to. Most important of all I don't feel the summer heat on my neck at all, it stays cool. Also I have not seen any change in my skin color on my face nor neck so it is definitely blocking harmful UV rays. As someone who works on the field at least 3 times a week I highly recommend this product. I am happy that I can work comfortably and protected while looking cool at the same time!

Absorbent
Why did you pick this product vs others?: These are great thick and stretchy and very absorbing. Others I have bought were super thin and didn’t absorb sweat at all. This one does a fantastic job and it’s not super bulky so it can fit under my hard hat.

Gaiter has Sun-Exposure Flaw but there IS a Solution!
I am using the gaiter primarily for sun protection for my neck. If the gaiter came designed as per my solution to its flaw (see below), then I would have given it 5 stars! OK, the good: This neck gaiter is very comfortable and light, breathes well, and the color (I have the purplish one) is beautiful. Problematic: While it mostly works well to prevent undesired sun exposure, the fact is, if you are in hot, direct sun and wearing a typical round or v-neck t-shirt, you still will get sunburned on the and a significant portion of the bottom of the back of your neck, and on a smaller portion at the bottom of the front of your neck - bot caused by exposures where the gaiter rides back up your neck. As it will not stay completely tucked into the neck of the typical t-shirt. This is because as the tucked-in portion of the gaiter is circular / tubular, it cannot go below your shoulders, thus forcing it to ride back upward on your neck. I otherwise love the feel and look of the gaiter - and as I really didn't want to get one of those silly looking sun-protective caps with a drape down the neck (like a construction worker cap), But there IS a solution: Solution: I bought a second one of these. My wife cut the gaiter in in half down the seam - which gives you an approximately square piece of fabric. She then cut that piece into two sections, one being 2/3 (top to bottom) of the total length of the square and the other (top to bottom) being 1/3 the length. The two pieces are the same width. She then stitched the 2/3 section to the bottom of the unaltered gaiter's back (goes down your back), and 1/3 piece to the bottom of its front. This way, the now-altered gaiter forms two flaps going down the front and back of your shoulders. This will allow the gaiter to keep your neck perfectly covered from son. Of course, you could add such a flap system with a cut up t-shirt, but buying a second one to make this alteration will give it the look and feel of a nice, custom one-piece. Of course, I wear a hat with this as well - which looks great and avoids the ridiculous look of those construction-worker flap hats. The end result is well worth buying two of these gators, as they should last a long time.
