Gets the job done
Pc picked it up no problem, will definitely get the job done Had to do some minor tweaking to get it to work perfectly with retroarch. The buttons arent perfect by any means and it deinitely feels like a cheap controller but all that is easily negated because its only a 10 dollar controller. My only concern is it was shipped with an extra joystick which makes me question how long the original will last.

As advertised
I needed it to play with the m64p emulator and it worked seamlessly, a bargain for the price imo. A devout retro/n64 enthusiast won’t have to rely using the keyboard thanks to this product.

Good for the price
Not to bad for the price but it has a major flaw. It's range of motion is a square so when moving the stick it reaches it full range before the stick can reach the edge of the control. Putting real n64 range help a little but it can be annoying to deal with. It feel pretty good to hold and get gets the job done.

Compatibility and ease of use
This controller makes emulation gameplay so much easier. It's difficult to map C-arrow buttons well on modern controllers, so this makes it a breeze to play games the correct way.The only issues I've experienced is that PC sometimes views this controller as X-input, so if Steam is running pressing start (pause, start game, etc) it will bring Steam to the foreground, or launch Big Picture mode.- The easy fix is to quit steam before playing gamesNintendo switch also reads the controller and accepts input, but the mapping is a little funky. It's seen as a Pro Controller, so Start is the '+' button or something similar to that, and some buttons do not make much sense to me. If you want to use an N64 controller on Switch I recommend doing some research before buying this, or grabbing the intended controller from Nintendo. If you're hoping to use Retro-Pi or PC N64 emulation, then this controller should work very well for you.

Z button snapped off
I had the controller for a while and it worked just fine. But after transporting the controller in my backpack on vacation, the z button had snapped completely off. The z trigger is only held on by 2 small plastic clips that seem to break very easily. I liked the controller but the build quality is not the best.

I dig it.
So I was a N64 girl growing up, and this USB controller feels pretty much exactly like my N64 controller in my hands--with exception, of course, to the weight. It doesn't feel as heavy as N64 controllers did back in the day. HOWEVER. The components aren't as heavy as they used to be because of advances in component fabrication and efficiency increasing in the wiring. I can't really complain, as the weight would probably be detrimental to my carpal tunnel in my button-hand (aka right hand). It's funny; the ratings asked me to rate the ergonomics of the controller. I'm thinking to myself, "Have...have yall...ever...played with one before, or...?" But the middle joystick part is easy enough to use though, and most N64 games I ever played didn't really use the left shoulder button--I've been playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and Super Mario 64. So far, the functionality is exactly the same. Please note: if you're looking for something that automatically assigns buttons/directional axes, you're barking up the wrong tree and walking down the wrong alley here. You will actually have to manually set the buttons and directionals within the emulator you're using, and I highly recommend Project64 for your N64 needs (please donate to them, they've done such a good job!) . It's good stuff! 5 stars.

You get what you pay for
Inexpensive and shipped quickly, but despite the product page saying it's compatible with the emulator I use, the emulator doesn't recognize input from the joystick. All the other buttons work, just not the joystick, so I can play some games, just not the ones I bought it for. Still only out $17, but I really wanted to play Majora's Mask.
