Prior Military
I have been wearing shirt stays since my NROTC college days, through my time as a Naval Officer, and into my career as a financial advisor. I have tried all types of shirt stays - and can say these are the best. For a really tall person, they may be tight (I am average height at 5'10) and I have them fully expanded (they would probably stretch-out fine though). The main issues with shirt stays are the come unclipped or they fray after light use. The clipping mechanism eliminates the first issue, and so far, these have held up great. Would highly recommend for both civilian and military use.

these are pretty much standard with my wardrobe now
these are pretty much standard with my wardrobe now. I can't imagine how i wore dress shirts in the past without these. the clips are easy to use, quick to snap on. the adjustability of the straps are a nice feature too. I will be picking up another set because i lost a couple of them already. My only gripe with these is that the clamps are a little bit cheap and would be nicer if it were a more solid material and instead of plastic teeth, it used some sort of rubber that would hold a little better.

Used everyday by a Missionary!!!
So, I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints . You may have noticed us before: guys in white shirts and ties with Black tags on, riding bikes and helping old ladies bring in their groceries, talking to people about important stuff. Loved every second, but I have a problem that a lot of bigger guys have: I cannot (for the life of me) get my shirt to stay tucked in. It just wouldn't. Period.I needed a way to get them to stay tucked in, so that I don't look like a fool riding my bike around, or look sloppy at all when getting out of a car. So, I decided to try the shirt stays, and GOOD HEAVENS, they work like a charm!I used the pack of 2 of them for a year straight, ever single day, rotating them out, making them last, and they have not failed me. I got another pack because I bent the clasp on the top of one of them due to a bike accident, but it still works when I attach it to a double-stitched seam on my shirt. I try to clip one end of the Stay to the sides of my shirt, and the other end to the side (not top: SIDE) of my socks, and I have not had it go wrong yet. They work fantastically.

Not recommended.
The first set I ordered would not stay locked into the length I needed to keep my uniform crisp. They would loosen and the slide would slide to the top, rendering my shirt untucked and making me look sloppy. So I emailed the company and they sent out a new set. These are hardly any better. Some days the front 2 will stay with the length locked perfect but most days all 4 of them become slack and it makes my uniform look unsightly. I've ordered 6 sets from different companies, (my very first set were my favorite but they're no longer available), in order to find the best ones. These are not them. At one point I may be standing for an hour or sitting for an hour and the next I may be running down the hall. I work along side lots of people and other uniformed professionals so I like to look clean and crisp. These are not the route you want to go, IMHO. 2 stars, 1 because that's the lowest you can give and 1 because customer service was responsive.*Update 11/7/16: Well, 3 of the sliders snapped so far. The third one snapped today. These are truly horribly made. Not worth what I paid for them. I will definitely need to find a more quality item immediately.

Lacks clip strength
The band material is good and the locks stay in place. The clips are not strong enough to hold onto my socks without folding them over a couple of times to make them thicker. The locking mechanism to change the length is not comfortable against the skin. The tabs that provide the swivel point for the locking mechanism protrude out in a way that poke into the skin. You can turn it around but then the locking clasp is against the skin and is more difficult to release. Shipping and delivery was quick.

A MUST if your in security.
Ok guys, I work for a security company that is strict on appearance standards. So, shirt stays are standard issue when you first start. But the standard issues were always falling or irritating me in some way shape or form. But this product from Hero's Pride are OUTSTANDING!! The clips are strong, they keep your shirt in place, I have NEVER once had a clip come loose. I have been wearing these for about 6 months now and they are the best addition to a uniform one could ask for. I have ran, jumped, and jogged in these and they stay put.One piece of advice guys, when you attach them to your socks / shirt, make sure the smooth clip portion is the side making contact with your skin. The small circle should turned away from the skin. You will know what I mean when you see them in person.

I can't afford to press my shirts and I like to keep my socks up
Does your C.O. demand perfection? Has your drill sergeant made demeaning comments about the state of your formal uniform? Have you been recently diagnosed with a mental difference that forces you to commit acts of perfection in your day to day life? These shirt stays not only keep the troops looking as dapper as ever by keeping those socks up high and those shirts tucked deeper than you might like, they also give a nice 'pressed' look to your day-to-day outfits. No more untucked shirts for this guy. My outfit is so spring loaded with these Shirt Stays I couldn't untuck my shirt even if I tried. Watch in amusement in the barracks as your comrade tries to untuck your shirt only to have it snap back in place faster than you can say "discharged for inappropriate behavior towards your fellow armed service member". Seriously, DON'T undress one another... On a related note, these are not good for dates / occasions where you want to get your clothes off as fast as possible.Seriously, if you like to have a neat and tidy look about you, these shirt stays are for you. They work with uniforms, suits, and semi-formal dress. My dad made a point to say that my shirts look pressed when I use them.
