Pilot Prera Iro-Ai Medium-Nib Fountain Pen, Transparent Blue Body (FPRN-350R-TLM)

Cant go wrong with a PIlot and this is no exception. Pen writes smooth, never leaks, and always works the first time. For the price and ease of use I would recommend for any beginner.

Outstanding pen for Every Day Carry. Small size fits well in a shirt pocket. Posted size fits well in the hand. Nib is stiff but smooth. Small ink capacity is sufficient for brief notes, lists, etc. Cap seals well to prevent nib dry-out or pen leaks. Priced low enough so pen loss would not be major set-back. Another great pen from Pilot!

Overall a great pen. The feel of the nib is noticeably better than the Pilot Metropolitan, but they're both good pens, especially for what they cost.The only complaint I have is the plastic seal in the cap. It's firmly stuck in place, but there's a small gap between it and the clear outer wall of the cap. This is an issue when cleaning as water gets stuck there, and even more so if (as happened to me) the pen leaks and some ink gets in there. I'm not sure if I'll ever get it out since no amount of flushing, rinsing, or shaking moves the trapped ink and water much.

Very smooth writing. Great seal which avoids leaks. I love the included adaptor that allows me to use my own custom inks.

I had not realized that this was a pocket pen as it is very small . It is comfortable to write with when posted . The nib is smooth with a little feedback but not scratchy . I ordered a medium , however being Japanese it writes like a fine . The pen is well made and feels sturdy . I ordered the transparent with orange and I inked with a bright orange ink . Very nice !

They are great fountain pens. I love mine.
