For my Maverick 88
The TL Racker is not compatible with the stock Maverick 88, since it has a pinned forend. If you want to install this on your Maverick, you will need:7-3/4” action slide assembly for Mossberg 500/590Action slide tube nutIf these items are out of stock on the Mossberg website you can find them on eBay at a markup. I lucked out and was able to get the slide assembly from Mossberg for $60 ($83 with tax and shipping). Found the nut on eBay for $20. Still cheaper than the $150 most are charging for the full assembly on eBay.As for the light, I really think this is the best solution for mounting a light on your pump shotgun, which can be tricky and expensive. You could mount a light on the end of your mag tube, but then the controls will be out of reach. Or you could get the Magpul Mlok forend (which for Maverick owners would again necessitate replacing the stock slide assembly) and mount your accessories to that. With the TL Racker, the light is integrated into your forend and the controls conveniently located an inch or so from where you grip the pump. The light is very bright and easy to actuate, the ergos are great IMO, and your weapon is nice and streamlined with no wires or protruding attachments. Their is some barrel shadow on top, which gets less and less the further away you get from your target. Mossberg makes some the best and most reliable pump shotguns in the world, but their forends are known to rattle slightly (I’m sure anyone looking to put this on their Mossberg already knows that). Maybe because the TL Racker is larger and heavier than the stock forend, that rattle becomes more pronounced. Their is a decent amount of rotational play, but it does not seem to affect functionality. I have yet to put any rounds through it, but I racked it a whole bunch of times and it seems to work fine. All told, I am very happy with this product. It beats spending more than the price of your shotgun for 6 or 7 attachments. For convenience, effectiveness and price it really can’t be beat, and for you Mossberg 500 and up owners, it’s ready to rock right out of the box. If any issues arise after putting hundreds of round through it, I will update.

Good stuff
Feels good and looks good. Light is nice and bright. Fits my mossberg 590 18.5I recommend you purchase a forend nut removal tool because you will need it to install this.

Essential for home defense
This fits my Mossberg 590 shockwave 14 inch barrel and I'm very pleased with it. Very bright light with easy touch switch and comfortable grip. The only caveat is that it's a tad loose.

The light is definitely bright enough for any scenario.
I'm going to list the only con first. -- Con: The wiring linking the battery to the light is exposed and ready to be shorted by the metal of the barrel. I was already prepared for the solution as I have purchased UV activated resin previously for the mission of making a couple of flashlights water tight. I added a couple drops of resin to the exposed wiring, and after 5 to 10 minutes of UV light exposure, I was ready to use a Dremel tool to sand down the rise of the resin. After sealing and sanding the exposed circuit, this thing works as awesome as the concept could ever be expected to work. I personally believe this product should be $50 cheaper for the amount of work I had to put in to complete it. I'm only giving it three stars for the value of money because they need to finish making this product. Otherwise, it works fantastic and if they fix the small issue, this will be Five Stars all around!

Great light, but does not fit the 500!
I ordered this after opening several tabs on my computer of several different foregrip lights. I ultimately decided on this one, and it arrived the very next morning. Great job Amazon! Unfortunately, in my quest for a light, I failed to noticed that this one is for the 590, not the 500. After disassembling my shotgun, and attempting to put this one on left me scratching my head. That was when I noticed it was for the Shockwave. My bad. Amazon made the return stress free. I gave it 5 stars because it seemed to be well made, came complete with batteries, and arrived very quickly. The only downside was my own fault.

Comes with wrench! :)
Easy to install, works great. I was pleasantly surprised to find a forend wrench included in the box. Literally took me 5 minutes to install.

Buy it!
I purchased a Mossberg Shockwave and added a Streamlight TL-Racker. It worked perfectly…Then I decided to add a Mossberg 18.5” 590 Breacher Barrel to replace the 14” and needed to replace the Streamlight as it was for the Shockwave and didn’t fit. Well guess what, the 500/590 version fits perfect and tight! The 590 Breacher Barrel is a heavy barrel, yet it fits like a glove. Highly recommend!

Streamlight Quality??
When I removed the forend from the box the retaining ring, glass lens, o ring and LED fell out onto my floor. Apparently they were not installed at the factory? There were no instructions for installation of the lens/led/gasket/ring included. I have tried to reinstall them but I can hear rattling even when tightened well. The light works and is bright. The battery compartment is easy to access. I like the shape. The plastic has a cheap feel to it and the fit of the 2 halves is not pretty as you can see a visible, misaligned seam and slight gap. Overall the unit works but feels and looks cheap compared to the Surefire fore grips made for some shotguns. There is no way that this is watertight like the surefire ones are or even weather tight in any way, as I can see circuit board through the large gap on the barrel side of the light . One spit-take and this thing is junk. Stream light products have been steadily declining in quality, I have (had) a pistol light made by them that lived only 2 weeks because the company decided to use plastic instead of metal for the battery door, which sheared off from the first bump, rendering the light useless. Any design talent they have appears to be checkmated by middle management twats making cheap material substitutions. SHAME
