Product Worked as Described - Great Price
Despite mixed reviews on this product, I decided to purchase the Micro HDMI (Type D to Type A) in order to connect our 7'' Kindle Fire HD to our basic flat screen television. The price was pennies on the dollar compared to other local stores. We have a great picture quality and the cord connects to our Kindle Fire HD and Television with ease. There are no issues with losing connection and the product works as advertised. The package also contained a sample stylus from the company. I did not purchase the product because of this (and would recommend against anyone doing so). The stylus was a cheap piece of plastic without any directions (I was confused by something that looked like a keychain hanging from the stylus). I had no idea what was going on with it and sent it straight to the trash. The Micro HDMI cord was a good purchase and it works as described. I will return to update this review if I notice any unusual wear and tear that shouldn't happen. Other reviews have made mention of the cord's short life span and I will update this review if I have any troubles with the cord. Overall a great purchase for an unmatchable price.

Always connected now
I was really glad to get this little miracle worker, because the end fit my 2nd generation Fire tablet with the funy type D HDMI plug. I tried that $25 one, which turned out to be for 4th generation Fires, but that mini plug was not a fit. Now I leave this Fire connected to the TV all the time, set up and ready to go on an alternate HDMI of our rather old Vizio 32 inch HDTV. Our TV needs are quite simple, we do not play games requiring projection to the big screen, just Amazon Prime videos and music, so this is a great permanent setup. Now I don't have to scramble in a drawer looking for the LOST CORD.I do wish plugs were color coded somehow. One black cord looks like another, you know.

ok
Worked on my first KFHD but then it no longer displays anything i have bought.Says i have nothing in cloud to view.so at first i thought amazon might be having a problem, but my other KFHD still worked fine. Then i plugged up the one working and it i it worked fine on tv, but than i backed out of video and it says error connecting to network.but everything else works music, web, apps.and now it displays items in cloud to watch but will not play anything.so now the video doesn't work on either and the only thing i can do is restore factory settings and hope it fixes it.so i won't be buying another like i had planned to.don't know if its the cord or not but sure seems that way.works well on one tv on another there was a lot of static.

Low price, but not much else going for it.
I've used this to view streamed Prime movies from my Kindle HD Fire 8.9 on my LED TV. The picture quality is viewable, but grainy and a little blurry. The connections aren't very tight, so it has to be wiggled a little occasionally in order to work.I really just wanted to see how things would function (as I'm not real tech savvy) so didn't want to invest too much money on an experiment. Now that I know how to get things to work, I'll order a high speed cable in hopes that the picture quality will improve, keeping this one as an extra. The cable arrived in good condition in a satisfactory protective envelope. The bonus 'Stylus', however, is a joke--it's extremely small, angled strangely, and doesn't seem to work at all on this Kindle.

HDMI - Kindle Fire review
It's okay for now because I haven't used it yet.I didn't get an opportunity to rate the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 so here goes. I must say I'm disappointed in it. It's not at all user friendly. It keeps freezing. Some of the games I have so far just don't work. I paid little or nothing for them but still, why offer them at all. And worst of all, there's no help. You can't get the user guide because your kindle is frozen. I wish I had a downloaded to computer version like I have for my e-reader. The thing I like best is the stylus which happened to come with the above HDMI. Those fingerprints drive me crazy and by the way, what can I use to clean them.

You get what you pay for...
Honestly, with as little as you pay for this product you can't be surprised by the quality. The cable itself has the "snow" common with cheap HDMI cords and the audio comes through extemely loud, resulting in loss of clarity and quality in anything above about level 5 volume (very low). The stylus works well, though the tip was bent and could not be fixed. Poor quality control I assume as it seems it was glued wrong. Not sure how well it stands up to regular use as I lost it already and did not worry about finding it. Still, a nice bonus. All in all, if you really need to save money this technically works. Just expect the quality you are paying for....

works perfectly!
Just received this, connected to my Kindle HD 8.9 , then selected proper/available HDMI port on my LG HD TV and it connected instantly and am now watching a movie I had downloaded. It was that simple for me. Of note the sound is from the Kindle, it you turn the volume off on the Kindle, in my case, there will be no sound but the volume is adjustable via my cable remote for the sound from the TV and the transmission is HD, PERFECT.I think if some are having issues it might be an issue of connecting to the right port on the TV and most importantly adjusting the settings on the TV using the TV remote. I do have to see what device will allow me to pause, start, etc other than the Kindle itself.

HDMI min. to standard cable
The cable and pen were well packed and shipped as promised. My friendly UPS delivery man ask of I had purchased all of Amazon,by the number of trips he had made here this week,as a joke of course. I said no I just found that I could depend on them to fulfill my needs with good and prompt service. This cable is just one of many items that I needed for Christmas. The dealer sent a very fine product and it worked very well with a Kindle HD and a HD-TV Christmas morning. The Pen I am using now to write this review,it is one of the best that I have tried with a Kindle.Flay
