Cat Door Window Insert with Flap 30"-36"

I love this cat door. Easy to install and it only took a couple of days to train my cats to come in and out as they please. No more litter box for me!! The only downside is that the opening is a little small, so for my large cat, it's a little bit of a tight squeeze. They really need to put the dimensions of the actual opening in the description.

The concept is good, all recycled materials and the area surounding the door is solid. The issue is the door itself, there is no seal around the swinging plastic door. Whether you are in the north, or the south, you need some kind of seal. We bought another door that had a magnetic catch and sealed (as well as possible). Can't recommend.

This product works as well as I thought it would. It sits fairly securely in the window and has a good in/out flap. However, it seems really overpriced when you consider the fairly low price of the cat doors by themselves and the simple construction of the rest of it. I guess you're stuck, though if you don't have the tools or knowledge to construct one yourself. Then again, it might not be all that hard to approximate the same effect.

This product was poorly made of cheap material. Only the center portion is PVC the rest is glorified particle board. The extenders on either side are made so they leave gapping holes if they need to be used. Even the shipping is cheap with no installation instructions. This item is a total waste of money!

The quality of the cat door window insert is good, however the flap is hard plastic, rather small at 4" x 4.5", it squeaks, and a big or fat cat (any cat over 15 lbs) has problems getting through. The most annoying thing is that the insert sides that slide out to reach the window frame, when fully extended, leave two one inch square openings. I do not understand what the person was thinking when they designed this door and am CERTAIN they did not test the design because anyone with half a brain would know that would be a huge energy and bug problem, regardless of where in the country you live.

Great product--easy to install, fits great. I did use duct tape to secure it :)

Works as expected- wish it had a lock to make the door feel safe once installed- I had to screw it into my window to keep it from being able to be popped out. I Also wish it had some insulation- the wood is very thin... it works but it could be better for the price. If you are handy you could make this yourself and probably make it with better material for half the cost. Wish I had the tools. If you want an easy solution- this door is it- but expect a lot of energy cost for the amount of air that will get in and out around this door.

We were very happy to get this cat door - we had to wait weeks for one to come back 'in stock' on Amazon, which is the only place we were able to find this.The install was easy (although we had to nail our window shut on top of the cat door as the window was much wider than the thin cat door insert and the window didn't hold it tight enough for our cats not to push it out of place (or our baby not to push it out of place when he starts walking).We love the insert, just wish the insert was a little taller so cat door itself was bigger. Our cats are not large - this door is just small. We have another cat door that came labeled "small" and it's bigger than the door that comes in this insert. Also, we've had it for a little while now and the cats use it multiple times a day. I have started to notice that even w/ the magnet closure, the plastic door doesn't always shut behind them like it did when we first installed it. Hoping the door keeps working!
