Kids Summer Academy Grade 1 to 2

I was looking for a good program that can work a long time. This company has a book for my soon to be 2nd grader, 19th grader, AND 11th grader! It was challenging, yet fun. My 2nd grader was sad when he finished the book. Definitely doing it again this next summer!

We’ve been using these for a couple of weeks now - I really like the quality and how engaging these notebooks are! Both my soon to be 2nd grader and pre-k kids like it - more engaging than most of the summer help books we got. The experiments are simple enough yet fun for them, definitely gives a boost with both reading and math too!

We just received ours and i think it’s going to be perfect for my rising 2nd grader. It’ll have challenges plus I love that there is science and PE. We finished day 1 and she watched the video, which helped her check her work. That's a definite plus!!The advertisement is misleading though, as none of the pages are in color. That’s why i gave 4 instead of 5 stars. I think it’s great that it offers video explanations when needed.Her school is tapering off so we will start this Monday and do a little each day.

My children and I have been using notebooks for the third week now - the children are delighted! This is the most interesting additional training. It's fun! Mathematical tasks are replaced by interesting experiments and fitness warm-ups.These are the best study notebooks I have ever seen.

We really like the book and will explore other books in the series. Our son loves going through the exercises and finds them engaging. We recommend this book for kids of age 6-8, it keeps them busy in summer.

I ordered this workbook for my 6yo daughter while she was on summer break. The book is divided out by week and day which was helpful. The book has a good mix of subjects and challenging questions. I was glad I ordered it for her and it helped her with practicing math and spelling. They also have science experiments that kids can do and mini fitness activities. I would definitely recommend this book to keep kids on track when school is on break.

Bought for my 7 yr old who according to his teachers is on track academically but is an active child with a short attention span if he isn't interested. This book was is not fun for him. Reading passages are too hard and the small unusual font isn't fun for me to read either. Math had too many word problems/directions and so he also struggled there and was constantly asking for help. (example- couldn't sound out the name Chloe so he was too frustrated to get to the math problem part) All the pages are black/white/grey so it just doesn't hold his attention.There were some positives. Loved the yoga poses each week! Day 6 each week is an experiment and day 7 is a fun activity/maze. Lots of content which will be a positive for many but since he will also go to day camp I would personally prefer something with a little less material per day. 12 weeks of well organized material while our summer break is only 9-10 weeks.We were lucky to get this at a much lower price than the current listing so we will still do selected pages but I am also ordering him a different more colorful workbook for the summer. I want him to enjoy what he is doing while avoiding any summer backslide. This might be better for a more advanced 1-2 grader.

This workbook is awesome for helping to prevent summer slide. It is straightforward and concise and touches on important skills learned during the school year. Some reviewers disliked the black and and white format but I like it! The graphics are engaging , but not distracting and not super baby-ish. I’m a teacher and I’m using these for both my kids. I got one each for my rising 2nd grader and rising 4th grader. Definitely recommend!
