Lighting Corp Glass Shade, Clear with White Rope Design (81314)

This is a really nice replacement globe for your ceiling fan light kit. It is quite attractive, arrived on time and was properly packed. My problem was confusion about the size that the neck ring will accommodate. My confusion, not Amazon's. I must have misread the specs for the sizing. I needed the mounting ring to be appx 4 inches across. What I got was about 2 inches, so you need to measure the diameter of your current globe and buy accordingly. It'd fit if I turned it upside down, but there's no little lip on that end for the set screws to contact. The 5 stars is because the product itself is of quality and was just what I wanted, barring the size. The point I'd like to drive home is that Amazon refunded my purchase price immediately, even though this was my error. That is the kind of service that keeps me coming back to Amazon for most of my online purchases.

I bought these as part of a project to update my ceiling fan, and I was very pleased. They are well-built with nice, heavy glass. The clear glass allows for sparkling bright light to shine through, while the decorative white glazing adds a casual but contemporary touch. I added new pulls to the pull-chains and painted the blades a nice gray tone that matches my room. Fantastic! I was worried they would look childish but not at all, they look very modern and sleek. Arrived well-wrapped, in perfect condition, and prompt. Would recommend.

I like the look and quality but I cant seem to find bulbs that will not be shine too bright and difficult to look at through the clear glass. I have them over my kitchen island and need at least a 60 w for task lighting during food prep. Trying a few more bulbs today before I return.

I would give this item a "5," but I did find the fit a wee bit tight for the shade sockets on the ceiling fan I have. It did fit, but I was uncertain at first. I had to take all three screws for each shade socket completely out, then carefully fit in this shade, and then replace the screws. It took a little more "finegeling" to work this shade into the base of the shade socket than I'm used to. I was actually expecting the "rope" design to be more of a textured design into the clear glass bulb, but it's actually more of a painted on white stripe, and I think the ones I got have more "clear" than stripe, so just a little different look than I expected from the product photo. Still quite nice, but worth mentioning. I'm quite satisfied with the appearance of the shades. I really do not care for the dated shades with the scalloped edges. This Westinghouse shade is an alternative that I really appreciate.

I kept my builder / new home fixture and changed the glass shades for a quick and easy update. The new glass shades completely changed the small bathroom. More light and a more modern look. the package was well wrapped so that the glass wouldn't break. It arrived fast and it perfect condition.

This has the honor of being the first thing I've ever returned to Amazon. The image looks refined and polished. The reality was cheap and unacceptable.

I bought this for an old lamp. The mix of modern and old looks beautiful.

Love the 3 I bought... they replaced old fashioned shades on ceiling fan ... and they really look sooooo much better in person then in the picture. They came packaged so well it took me longer to get them unpackaged then to install. I reviewed many shades before buying this style ... very happy with this purchase.
