It works just great with my iPad 2 with no case - and its ready for my wedding. Yes there are other iPad adapters that are cheaper, but this one holds several sizes -- so you are not stuck with one permanent size. Also this one holds it pretty secure. I heard of others becoming loose.Packaging IncludedVery basic plastic bag and some instructions. Bag of legs - you will need 4 legs -- my iPad 2 required 2 large and 2 small. Very easy to attach. Also included is the all important tripod adaptor. This works just fine with the Amazon Basics tripod and pretty much all standard tripods. Holds secure and also provides some movement -- so you can do portrait or landscape.Ease of UseInstructions are self explanatory - also works with other tables. So this will probably work with newer iPads. Materials are hard plastic. The spring mechanism on the main piece feels very strong and clamps down on your table. So it's not going anywhere. You can also spread out the legs so you can use the rear camera on the tables -- another plus.Potential UsesVideo taping works or Selfie photo booth for weddings and special events. Or you can use it to watch movies or for special effects.And the free 10" USB CableNot really a biggie but it could be use for connecting the iPad cable to it and extending it to another outlet. So it's a nice idea.All in all a good buy. Pretty much what made me buy this over the other ones was versatility -- when I upgrade my iPad 2, I won't have to worry about the exact fit. Pretty much any tablet 7 to 10 inches will work.

I was given the Amazon Basics Tripod as a gift and had been looking for a mount for my iPad for ages. I needed one that could be used in both portrait and landscape mode but I didn't want to spend a fortune on it. At the same time I didn't want it to be so cheap that it put my IPad at risk from falling! Well, I got everything I wanted in this product. It's very easy to put together (even for me!) and holds very secure. I'm so glad I didn't go for the really expensive ones as this one totally does the job.

The media could not be loaded.  The operating system and the few apps I have on my phone take up almost all of the 16 gigs of storage space I have. So when Amazon had a sale on their Kindle Fires, I decided to buy one to use for taking videos and pictures. However, I soon discovered I can’t hold my tablet still enough to take good video or pictures no matter how hard I try so I started searching for an affordable tripod that would accommodate my tablet. I finally found the ChargerCity Tripod Mount Adapter that fits on any normal tripod stand so I purchased it to use for taking video and pictures. Overall, it works great.WHAT IS IN THE BOX: The expandable flat tablet holder comes with 2 sets of removable clamps, one small set of four and one large set of four. They can be mixed and matched to accommodate a range of tablets in various sizes. The tablet holder mounts to a “ball joint” apparatus that attaches to standard size tripod mounts. The ball joint swivels 360 degrees making it infinitely adjustable. A cord of some sort was also included, but I have not figured out what to do with it.WHAT I LIKE:• The small clamps accommodate the width of my Kindle Fire tablet easily.• The ball joint swivels to allow me to use my tablet in either the horizontal or vertical position or anything in between.• The ball joint has a screw down ring that holds it where I put it.• This tripod mount adapter works with my little jointed tripod. In fact I like the way it works so well that I ordered a full size tripod to go with it too.• The tripod mount adapter is small enough and disassembles enough to be easy to transport.• The mix and match clamps will allow me to use this tripod mount adapters with future tablet purchases if I ever change brands.WHAT I DON’T LIKE:• The clamps don’t click into place or secure in any fashion. They just slide. Fiddling with its position on my tablet caused one to almost slide out once. This would probably have caused my tablet to crash to the floor. I understand wanting to have the ability to position the clamps so as to avoid buttons on the tablet, however, providing a series of secure positions would do the job and prevent accidents from the clamps sliding out of place.• This tripod mount adapter doesn’t feel as sturdy as I would like. This mount works great for what it is. I use it with my Motorola XYBoard 10.1 tablet and it holds it securely. My friend borrows it for their Galaxy Tab every now and then. Primarily I use this mount to hold the tablet for doing webcasts as we don't have any fancy camera and the tablet works great for it. Also, can set it up for a display and use my bluetooth keyboard with the tablet so don't have to lay it on the table, or hold it, or anything. Just set it up at the right angle I want it and record, broadcast, work on office stuff, play some games, watch a movie, whatever I want.I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a mount for their tablet.

I purchased this in 2014 do use in my classroom with my iPad. I loved that this tripod was so easy to adjust and I could use it at a variety of heights. The one drawback was the clamp for the iPad or iPhone. I Felt like I was forcing my iOS device into the clamp. I didn’t use the tripod for a while and in the process of moving to another state, lost the holder for my phone. Flash forward to March 2020, I am having to spend a lot of time working from home and leading virtual presentations. I have to use my phone a lot because it has a WebCam but unfortunately there is no good place to prop it up. I pulled my tripod out of the attic and purchased another mount for my iPhone. It was the perfect set up. Now I can adjust the angle of my camera and have my hands free during presentations. I can’t say enough how much I love this tripod!

I read through the reviews before buying this, noting particularly comments that stated it did not hold the iPad securely, that the neck was flimsy and that the tripod lever could not be used. However, after using the device I believe these criticisms may at least in part have resulted from a misunderstanding of how to assemble the product and to ungrip it after use.I had very little trouble getting this to work, even though I didn't read the assembly and operation instructions until after I had already assembled it. I am attaching photos that show the iPad being supported securely on a light tripod in both landscape and portrait orientation, and what the kit looks like when broken down to constituent parts. When combined with the rotations of the supporting tripod, there is no tilt or orientation that cannot be achieved with this grip.This was put to the strongest test holding my iPad Pro 12.9" however the lighter iPad 3 was a breeze too. It is important to remove the iPad and the assembly entirely from the tripod and lay it on a secure surface such as a table, before ungripping it from the holder. This avoids the risk of the iPad sliding on to the floor.I think the device is well thought through, extremely compact and therefore portable, and a perfect solution to my needs, so I shall be retaining it.The product description mentions the inclusion of a USB extension cable, however my package included a DP video cable instead, actually far more useful to me, so I suggest this should be updated on this page.

definitely very happy with this iPad holder for my tripod. When I ordered it I was not sure if it will fit the tripod I already had. It did! Perfectly. After some adjustments...my iPad fits great too. It fits better with its case, which is great as I do not have to remove it every time I will be recording videos for my business.
