I didn't particularly need such a heavy extension cord as I was just going to use it for indoor things and all I really cared about was the length and the favorable reviews with a push from a dependable brand name.Now, first thing is this cord is incredibly heavy and tough. Moving it from room to room as needed can be a chore just because of the weight. The cord is very thick and the plugs have some serious grip to them without any wiggle that you sometimes find with cheap cords. No accidental tripping and unplugging something either, if you trip over this cord you are going down and not the cord, it's that tough. The length is great for anything I may need around the house (used it for moving a space heater around the upstairs.), though it is not such a low profile cord due to its thickness. Overall I am thrilled with this and would recommend for both indoor or outdoor uses and will be using this for years to come. For the price I wish I would have gotten 2 just to keep an extra in the garage.

In a world without heroes, this extension cord is my hero. At a sassy 15 feet in length, power flows smoothly and elegantly from one spot to another. I have never seen electrons as happy as those running through this cord. The color is an understated orange with hints of both pumpkin and peach, reminiscent of Oscar de la Renta's 2003 line, the one in Milan, not that horror show he brought to New York.If an extension cord is in your future, this is the one for you.

It's odd that this is my first official review on Amazon.com, when I've purchased so much (really, so so so very much) from Amazon over the years. So when I was invited to review this extension cord, I figured why not. The reviews are what I've come to value the most from Amazon.com.I'm very pleased with my Coleman Outdoor Extension Cable. I've purchased a couple, and use them outside in my backyard to connect lights, outdoor appliances, and the like. I have no complaints. The cord has been working perfectly all summer without incident, and can take a beating too! I have 3 dogs, one of whom is a Dalmatian, and these cords still look brand new. A great buy.

this thing is well built. it is durable and easy to wrap around to put away. it is a good price and a good color. most extension cords are orange, especially longer ones. I like this cord for lighter duty because its only 16/3, but there are the 14/3 and 12/3 and even the 10/3 that coleman makes that are cheaper and better quality than others. i only use this as an extension for some led lights because the cable from those lights is short and i need to put my stand behind my dj setup. well i say much but go for this cable if you are looking for a smaller and lighter duty extension cord.

It may be 'heavy duty', but it's still stuff as sh1t in the cold. Be sure to unravel it inside to full length to get out the kinks, because if it's cold and you just unravel it outside, it's going to keep that shape. I did, so it doesn't lay flat or even bend at all. It's a tripping hazard because of this. It was about 10 degrees but it got down to negative 2 or something and it was stiff as rock. I didn't think the cords with the light-up ends would be needed, but now I wish I'd sprung for them. It seems like the block heater I put in my car hadn't even warmed it, so there was no noticeable change in starting, and one day it REALLY labored to turn over and almost didn't start at all. It's a 2012 toyota, up until now if never had an issue with, so maybe the cord is too cold to properly transmit the needed juice? I mean, it was a great price, but I was expecting a bit more or I wouldn't have wasted the time reading through all the different reviews/types and just quickly grabbed one at a store.

excellent heavy-duty ext. cord...very thick rubber and tight, robust fittings... utilizing to connect the last landscape light in a chain of lights and it is water-tight in a heavy rain, as i type this review... the rubber is thick, yet flexible and easy to straighten...and, it appears it will be a long lasting, durable cord...very pleased... Than you. :-)

Bought this to extend some power to my parents' couch -- couldn't find anywhere to plug in my laptop when I went to visit. I had some other extension cords, but bright orange doesn't really fit in their den.I've left it at their house, with the receptacle near the couch. Sometimes I go visit and find that someone has beaten me to it! I really should have bought one years ago!The dark color makes it great for indoor use -- maybe for lamps, a Christmas tree, etc.
