You CAN wash but do not recommend putting in the dryer. The metal WILL begin to poke and leave tiny tiny cuts all over your arms during later uses. Im here to buy more because of how essential this product has become to me working with sharp and hot environment. Just leave out to air dry at night after wash.

Q: are these suitable for glassblowing? up to what temperature can these withstand?

I've been wearing them in a 340° high temperature.. frying chicken.. and it's comfortable..

Thanks for your question. This protective sleeve can prevent the arm from being burned by high temperature or being stabbed by something to a certain extent, but it is not omnipotent. It cannot completely prevent the chemical liquid from flowing into the skin, because it is not completely seamless.
