Great Cat6A toolkit with everything needed
This kit is my first introduction to Cat6A cable termination. I've done plenty (hundreds) of Cat5 terminations. This is certainly a different ball game requiring a LOT more care and attention. But once I figured out some essential tricks, it started going nearly as fast as the Cat5. In the end, after a single bad test cable, I proceeded to make 8 terminations on four actual cables with 100% success.I really like the case and the included hardware set. I would have liked to see some plug boots included, but I knew that wasn't included when I ordered, so I can't take away stars for that. The hardware is high quality. On one of the eight plugs, one of the eight tiny connector pins popped out when I inserted the plug into the crimper, but that was quickly solved with a pair of small pliers, and the plug still worked. Here are a couple tips I found watching some YouTube videos. After you get the wires lined up, trim the ends at a sharp angle before you try to insert them into the tiny spacer. That way, one wire goes in at a time and you can make sure they end up correctly ordered. Also, you have to keep a little squeeze on the spacer so that the cables don't push it apart as they go in. Also, I found it easiest to trim the wires about 0.1 inches longer than the spacer, then pull the spacer out to the end before I pushed the plug in place. When I didn't do that, the wires wouldn't go fully into the plug and I risked a bad termination.

Tedious, slow, unreliable terminations
I have installed many hundreds of Platinum Tools EZ-RJ45 Cat5e connectors, I love the wire pass-through feature, and I rarely had a cable I made fail a cable test. So I bought this 10Gig kit expecting that I would be enamored with it. Boy was I WRONG!1. The wire ends do not pass through the end of the connector on these, so you must cut them very precisely and be extremely diligent about pushing them all of the way up into the connector. Typical cable test failure is when one wire doesn't touch the end, and the cable will fail a test. Never had this issue with their other products.2. The tiny, cheap, wire-guide inserts are difficult to slide over the wires, occasionally cause one (or more) of the wires to switch out of the 568B order, and they are extremely easy to drop or lose. Another cause of cable test failure.3. You must *perfectly* straighten all 8 wires, cut them flawlessly at 90 degrees at precisely the correct length (this you have to learn on your own, no guide or template tool is included), then insert them through the tiny guide without them changing position, then slide the wires a guide all of the way into the connector with all of the ends fully into the connector without the tiny insert snagging inside of the connector or allowing a wire to catch on something so it doesn't get inserted fully. Very frustrating and aggravating.4. After all of this effort be prepared for 20-25% of your finished cables to fail a cable test due to any one of the things I mentioned above. Yesterday I had to do 20 terminations using this kit. I had to redo 5 of the terminations despite being *very* methodical and careful because they failed a cable test. Doing these 20 terminations consumed 3 hours.I am a skilled, experienced installer, and I regret this purchase.

Not very Platinum
Like an idiot I used angle cutters because I thought they were good enough. Seven tries later I discovered that the wires were ovaling out and causing all kinds of issues with the load bar and the barrels in the RJ45. I finally went to Walmart and buy some "precision side cutters" from the jewelry department. After that I have had no issues with my connections. Add $10 to the kit and include the side cutters that are show in the directions.

I had difficulty with this kit
I have successfully terminated Cat 5 cable for years. I decided to use Cat 6a for my new home. Cat 6a is physically bigger and stiffer. I first bought some 6a terminator plugs and found them hard to work with. I then bought the Platinum Tools Cat 6a termination kit thinking that would solve my problem. I watched the Platinum Tools video on Cat 6a termination. I made 3 test cables and none of them worked (tested with a Southwire Ethernet tester). It may well be something I am doing wrong but I was unable to make the Platinum Tools Cat 6a termination kit work for me. I then bought the Cable Matters Cat 6a tool free termination kit and it worked on the first cable. Finally success,

Almost a perfect kit.
I don't like that it has so many tools for one function. I don't like that the jacket cutter is a separate item. I don't like that it doesn't have a blade to automatically trim the excess. But it seems to work. Shielded crimps are definitely more of a pain, but the reviews of this one are fairly decent and it does get the job done for me so far. I haven't tried a non shielded crimp. I really want one tool that does it all. Strip, crimp, cut/trim, shielded and normal style. The search continues.

Almost everything you need to terminate a Cat 6a.
Kit is great. Only thing I needed outside this box were snips and a pair of pliers. Tele Titan included in the box is amazing. I preferred to strip the wires with it instead of the included wire stripper. If only they could replace that wire stripper with the snips then this would be a perfect combo box.Crimp tool is nice and multi use. Perfect for the connectors included in the box. TeleTitan is amazing. Has the A and B specification written on the box. Connectors themselves are high quality.

Wonderful!
THE tool for 'CAT6A (23AWG) shielded w/ raiser' cable. The over sized CAT6 variant. Don't bother with the competition. This kit has it all, granted the stripper might not be my favorite but it does perform well. The provided instructions are very nice, the manufacturer website also has a video, it really is easy and fast with this kit. Comes with 100 Shielded CAT6A connectors, that justifies the high price here.

Well worth the cost
This kit meets my needs exactly. The stripper, crimper and pliers do the job and are of excellent quality which is nice to find these days. The connectors are well made and will handle 23AWG solid wire. The connector insert is the easiest I have ever used. Practice and watching some demonstrations on YouTube is essential to making consistently good connections.I found this kit to be well worth the cost.
