Great for vanlife
This is my second such product and this one is much better quality. I'm really happy with how sturdy it is and how well-built. It's easy to adjust and is working great! It places my laptop at a height that is easier on my neck when using my computer on my bed.

Keeping for adjustable height but the design is indeed flawed
I bought this primarily to use as a laptop stand in bed or on the couch when I'm not feeling well, but also to use as a stow-able stand for a projector at home. Verdict: I'm keeping this stand to use as a stand for a projector at home, but I won't be using it as a laptop desk as often as I thought. The flawed design means there aren't as many STABLE angle/height configurations as I would've liked but I had read other reviews before buying and knew this was a possibility. However, I have not played around with all possible stable configurations because it is so finicky to adjust. Pros: - I love the flexibility of having adjustable height - fits over my lap, even when it's at the widest part of my body (hips). There are 16.5" between the topmost legs, and 18.75" between the middle legs, where my body usually fits. - Very breathable under my laptop due to the metal tray with plenty of holes (I chose this listing specifically because it had more holes than other similar items) Cons: - The bottom two legs should be longer and the top leg should be shorter to achieve a wider range of stable configurations. All 3 legs are the same length because it looks a lot nicer and takes up less space when folded down but it means that at many angle combinations, it tips over, unfortunately. If you keep the tray as close to parallel with the bottom leg as possible, it is less likely to tip over once you put something heavy on it (like a laptop). It also helps if you scoot the laptop up on the tray away from the lip, or avoid baring down weight solely on the hinge where the lip is. One of those long keyboard wrist pads along the lip will help for ergonomics and for positioning the laptop. - The legs can turn in 360 degrees but they can't lock in all 360 degrees. The notches on the buttons are the only available angles in 15 degree increments. This further limits the number of stable configurations possible. - The limited number of stable configurations does make it a pain to fold & unfold. My advice is to write down the angles from top to bottom for different uses so you don't have to figure it out each time, and so it doesn't take up space leaving it unfolded. For example, I have a combination that works for the projector and for sitting up in bed/couch while typing on the keyboard (45-75-45). I have a different combination for lying down reclined. If I use a separate keyboard or just watch a movie, I'd probably have different configurations for those too. - The legs are a little finicky to adjust for sure. My tip is to hold down on the buttons as far as possible and wiggle the leg gently until it goes all the way down. - It's also not ideal for an uneven or lumpy surface. I definitely need to make sure I find the right spot and don't move around too much in bed. Having more locking angles for the buttons would help with this but in reality probably isn't possible for the needed load bearing specs while keeping the slim size & lightweight materials.

Stable and versatile
Has many different configurations that can be used for many purposes. I use it hold a laptop, but I also use it for holding books for eye-level reading. It is fairly sturdy. The joints and the main tray are made of metal, the straight part of the legs are made of plastic. If you set it up properly it is quite stable and can support a moderate amount of weight. I'm very pleased with its flexibility and the several different things I can use it for.

Quailty is lackluster but function is great.
The stand works great. When my back is hurting it is nice to have a lap best. I have a 35" waist and this sits perfectly around my waist with a couple inches to spare.

Laptop aid for disabled
I am disabled and needed help with stability of my laptop on my hospital bed. This device holds the laptop at a perfect angle and it is lightweight and easily adjustable. A great example of aid for the disabled.

Excellent lap desk
I spend a lot of time on my laptop, and for a long time that meant the computer was literally on my lap, which means my neck gets strained looking down at the screen. It was causing headaches, so I decided to look into laptop desks to get into a more comfortable position. I tried another desk before this one, but immediately knew it was not going to meet my needs. PRO: The three joints on each leg are rotatable by a full 360 degrees. Each joint has the degrees of turn noted on the knob so you don't have to guess. You can ensure that both joints are set to the same degree of turn. PRO: The numerous holes in the desk allow for excellent airflow, keeping the laptop well ventilated and cooled. While the legs are plastic, the desk is metal, which feels sturdy PRO: Light weight, making it easy to pick up from the floor while seated to get it into position. PRO: It folds flat if you choose to close all the leg joints down. This is great for storing or taking with when traveling. Not as convenient if you use the desk regularly at home. I just set it on the floor next to the chair where I use it. CON: It's a little too bulky to use sitting on my couch with my feet on the floor. In order to get to a comfortable position away from my body to allow for easy typing has it halfway off the edge of the couch. This means I either have to sit on the couch so my legs are stretched across the cushions and my back is against the arm of the couch, or (as I more often do), set up on my recliner where I can elevate the foot of the chair to allow enough distance from me for comfortable typing and a not feel like the desk is being squished against the sides. CON: This may only be a ME issue. I like the desk elevated enough that my screen is directly in front of me so I don't have to bend my neck at all. This means I need to put a pillow on my lap, under the desk, to provide extra support so it doesn't wobble. If you don't have yours adjusted quite as high, you likely wouldn't have this issue. CON: The lip at the bottom of the desk - the bit that keeps the laptop from slipping off the desk - is squared off and starts to dig into your wrists while you're typing. I dealt with this by purchasing some cushioned padding that is meant for child-proofing furniture. That cushion is U-shaped and has adhesive backing. I was able to cut to the length of the desk and wrap that squared, slightly sharp front edge. Problem solved. It's not very comfortable and I have many times spent hours (6+) on the computer on this desk without any digging into my wrists and without any neck aggravation since I'm in a much more ergonomic position. I definitely recommend this desk and would buy it again. Definitely worth the price I paid.

Light weight but poor delivery of damaged box.
This arrived in a torn up box with no instruction sheet looks like someone tore it open decided they didn't like it stuffed it back in the box and taped it all up. I should have sent it back but it is working ok for my needs so I decided to keep rather then go through the hassle of a return. the stand is light weight and does ok I will caution that the legs are not really stable if you plan on moving it around it will tip over very easily. Nice design and works for me good price.

This folding laptop table desk was easy to assemble and works as expected. Just be aware that the item comes in the actual box so it is an easy target for porch theft. The box was not in the best shape upon arrival so we were a bit leary of the state of the contents. But the contents were fine.

Great stand, it took a little bit to get it adjusted since each side has to be adjusted separately. But I would definitely buy another one if I needed to.

The product is not super stable and can be used in only one or two configurations. The package shows some 20 various ways, but most of them are very unstable configurations. My piece arrived with the laptop base bent and damaged with scratches on it. The fan under it also does not function. Over all very typical Chinese quality product. So look for a better option.

Great for what I need it for! Not entirely travel friendly as legs of stand do not fold in behind the flat surface.
